@DellengerAdv: Alleva says he spoke to #SEC commish Sankey about keeping #LSU-UF at night, but will probably be CBS day game if Florida is undefeated.

Only way we get a night game is if Bama beats UGA and CBS chooses Bama/A&M.

@DellengerAdv: Basically, #LSU fans, you need to be cheering for Ole Miss to beat Florida this weekend. Could secure LSU-UF as a night game.

I think Florida has a good chance to beat Ole Miss.

Screw that. Night games may be more fun, but with very few exceptions, anytime a team in the West loses to an Eastern opponent, it helps LSU reach the SECCG. Cheer for UF and deal with the day game if that's the consequence.

I'd rather a day game if it means ole miss has a loss.

Or in other words, Joe lied when he said they contractually only have to move 1 game for cbs.

Basically, most people who have been around awhile knew he was full of shite, but he penned it hoping the opponents would be bad enough that CBS wouldn't want the games. Then Joe could say he had the stones to tell CBS we only play night games.

Therefore, joe is all about joe and should be replaced.

Same here. If Florida wins on Saturday, I doubt we'll be saying in November, "I wish Ole Miss had beaten Florida. Wouldn't a night game against UF have been awesome?" We'll be happy that Ole Miss lost.

Ole Miss is gonna have trouble with UF's secondary. Ole Miss better find a rushing attack.

Man I love night games, but I'd rather Ole Miss take a conference loss and play Florida at 230.

Alleva never has and never will have any say with CBS about game times. I don't know why people don't get this.

Because he made this statement 2 weeks ago:
quote:

A quick reminder that playing a day game at home in September is not something we choose to do; unfortunately, we are bound by the Southeastern Conference to move at least one game a year to the 2:30 p.m. time slot, if requested by CBS. As you know, all seven of our home games last season were played at night, and we expect that day games in Death Valley will continue to occur on an infrequent basis.

If we only have to move 1 game, and we already have, then logically we would just say no to CBS for the Florida game, right? I'm not sure what he was trying to say in his letter, but it doesn't seem to be correct based on Dellenger's tweet
