I'm really hoping so, that is a doe day weekend for deer hunting. Hoping to be in a stand that morning then head to the game. If 2:30, I'll have to do the game, then leave for the camp. Much easier if it would be a night game.

It'll be between Bama at aTm or UF at LSU for 2:30 CBS game. CBS will prob pick aTm since they've been to LSU already but who knows.

ETA: Therefore, I'd say 6pm ESPN

Hopefully Alleva has the chest to tell CBS that LSU has already played their day game!

We won't know until next Monday around noon (unless the networks exercise a six day window), but I'm thinking all signs point to a 2:30pm kickoff.

CBS will be all over this game.

I'm thinking this. Bama/UGA is this week on CBS. I don't think 10/10 has been announced but there is no great match up.

A&M is a top 15 team that's not been on CBS yet and won't be until potentially that day. (10/3 vs. MSU on SECN, 10/1 bye). Plus 2012 and 2013 games had enormous ratings.

I would guess A&M/Bama game would get the CBS and push UF/LSU to night.

The key factor will be if Bama beats Georgia if they lose, bama plummets in the poll so I'm not sure if CBS will take that game. And BTW, it's all about $$ with them. They could give a flip about what LSU's preferences

I would trade in early game in a heartbeat to give bama a second loss

I was way off with my USCe prediction, but there's a good chance this could be the 2:30 CBS game if Florida beats Ole Miss. If not, CBS will probably go with Bama/A&M and we'll get a night game.

This was in Alleva's last letter to the fans:

quote:

A quick reminder that playing a day game at home in September is not something we choose to do; unfortunately, we are bound by the Southeastern Conference to move at least one game a year to the 2:30 p.m. time slot, if requested by CBS. As you know, all seven of our home games last season were played at night, and we expect that day games in Death Valley will continue to occur on an infrequent basis.

Now, that doesn't state that only one game is required to be moved, but it does infer that LSU has some say after they've moved one game up for CBS. Hopefully that is the case.
