Can we finally dispel the notion that LSU doesn't care about basketball? Look at this board today. People are furious over our team getting smoked by wake forest.

Sure there are fans who care, but "LSU" (meaning the administration) obviously could not care less.

They care!
Like the Rams offensive line cares about blocking

Our players care as much about playing hard as JJ does about coaching hard

I hate Basketball and always have. I played Football and Track and never had any interest in Basketball.

Then why did we invest in one of the best training facilities in the nation? And recruit the #1 player in the nation last year?

LSU basketball is nothing more than a "sideshow" attraction. Bottom line, LSU draws close similarities to the KU program. KU is known for their BB team, as LSU is known for their football team (now). KU sucks at football and will continue to suck as does LSU's BB program. Every once is a while LSU will get lucky and drop a golden horseshoe out of their arse and get someone like Shaq, or Jackson or Simmons who will play a season or two...just long enough to frick-over the hopes of its BB fans..

Football
Baseball
Golf
Soccer
Rugby
Basketball
Which really sucks based on some greats we've had here.

I care about basketball, and would like to care more.
But I think that the current landscape of NCAA basketball has turned me off, even more than LSU's lack of recent success.
NCAA basketball has devolved into a system where the teams at the top suck up virtually all of the short-term top tier talent, and a school like LSU is an outlier. Look how many people on the national scene were shocked that Ben Simmons came to play here, for example.
I'm just not into LSU basketball the way I used to be. I used to love NCAA basketball. It's a shame.

Last night was a nationally televised game and LSU got their shite pushed in. fricking embarrassing.
For those that are chiming in about not liking it, you have to at least give it credit for the potential moneymaker that LSU is completely wiffing on. Several schools are even adding suite revenue to their basketball arenas which is another financial windfall Alleva and this backwoods athletic department will never be able to steer us towards.
Just a competent program that makes the big dance regularly would rake in dollars. Meanwhile we're out here turning down NIT bids.

The coach is paid well
He has a high paid staff
Millions were spent on PMAC
Millions spent on practice facility
What could the administration do besides hire a good coach?
Nothing
Resources have been used, but WF haven't had a top coach since Dale Brown retired four years too late.
With few exceptions we have been average to poor.
