SDSU must have one hell of a defense

Who really gives a shite. LSU and Bama play. And the good news is the players aren't obsessed with Bama like the media or the fanbase.

LSU wins on Nov 3 and the media calls for the rematch

Wrong. I've been reading how badly we suck the past few days. Nothing impressive about beating down a hapless team.

I am thinking the first half of this game may be a shock to some of our fan base. Second half, I think LSU pulls away. There may be suicide alerts in the first half though.

We're usually pretty good at sticking around in these tough games for a while. I believe Sark is an excellent game planner and that's the main reason why. I agree that LSU will eventually pull away though. My score prediction was 34-17. That quote I had earlier in this thread was just sarcasm playing into the feeding frenzy known as the rant

That WVU team racked up over five hundred yards against last year's LSU defense

did you even watch that game?

WTF? Yes, I did. And I saw a WVU team that moved the ball on us very effectively using a controlled short passing game with precise route combinations and quick releases. The difference in the WVU game was special teams (Claiborne's TD return) and turnovers (e.g. two spectacular plays by Tyrann, among others), not a stifling defensive effort that generated three and outs. Without the turnovers and Claiborne's return, the outcome may have been very different.

Here is Tharold Simon specifically stating that UW plays a system similar to WVU's and that the Tiger defense must do a better job this season than last:

"We're taking this team just like West Virginia last year," said junior cornerback Tharold Simon. "We just have to approach the game better this year because I think we gave up 500-something yards last year and we don't want to do that again this year."

The media wants USC vs Bama. They will continue to pump that up until USC loses, or Nov. 3rd. We just have to focus on getting better and better. They will talk about us plenty when we lock up Miami.

I think once everyone realizes that Michigan is a fake. No way they were a top 10 preseason team. They are nothing more but a mediocre Big 10 team and when Air Force takes it to them this Saturday then I believe the lovefest for Bama will begin to wane. Anyway that's my opinion.

I think Oregon is going to smoke USC.

USC doesn't have the defensive depth to keep up with that ridiculous offense.

I've already handed the Heisman to D'Anthony Thomas.

LSU could curb-stomp Washington 49-0 & the media will not equate that to mUlligAn's demolition of scUM. Fair or not, Michigan is still considered as a top 25 caliber team who will seriously contend for their conference title. UW will be fortunate to finish 2nd in its division & never move into the top 25 this yr.

There is a ton of truth on page 3 of this thread.

I'll summarize:

1. Michigan is over rated.
2. Lovefeast w/Bama/SC continues until one of them lose.
3. Washington very well may can pass the ball effectively, but will not win this game.
4. LSU beats Alabama on 11/3
5. Arkansas men frick their sisters.....well, that's not in here, but it's true.

And even may not be relevant then should LSU actually win.

After all, how relevant was the LSU game to Alabama's season last year?

ESPN is pushing USC/Bama. LSU would need a duck victory to keep USC out.

Winner Winner!

This thread is hilarious. NOTHING will quiet the media's love for Bama and USC.

Beating Bama on November 3rd will mean nothing.

The Bama program knows this as well.

I disagree and I feel the WVU game was an excellent example of playing to our strength and their weaknesses. LSU planned their defense to prevent the big play by keeping the WVU receivers in cent of them and they were successful most of the night. What most people miss is the excellent play of our offense and special teams in addition to the "bend but not break defense". LSU had an excellent game plan and executed it very well.
