I would think with the success LSU had moving the ball against Bama last yr, especially passing, Saban would plan for the exact same game plan which is what happened with the option play in the 2011 BCSCG.

LSUS scheme on offense didn't lose that game last year nor will it this year, except that we were driving to go up by 10 with three mins left and sat on damn ball. Still can't believe it

The key against Bamas defense is to have a balanced approach which we can do with this offense. Sabans defense will shut you down if one dimensional.

The problem with 1/9/2012 was LSU tried to do exactly what they did to beat Bama 9-6 and Bama was expecting the same thing. Worse, when it was not working LSU stayed with it all the way.

No, the problem was we were one dimensional. Everyone including Jefferson knew that Jefferson couldn't throw it

The point the OP is trying to make is that in 9-6, Jefferson actually had a modest amount of success with the option and scrambles. So Saban game planned to stop what worked, and we didn't adjust accordingly.

I still hold Les responsible for that loss- Same gameplan, while Bama practiced to correct all their mistakes from the 1st time, while we did nothing. And not giving Lee a shot when JJ was completely discombobulated, was simply stupid on Les's part...

I have an idea, why don't you call coach up and give him your game plan equipped with all the plays you would run....wtf

Les's biggest negative as a coach showed in that game: no self scouting and breaking of tendencies.

So we need to put AJ10 in to run the option?

Why didn't he understand that shite like this wouldn't work twice in one season? 99% of the time a school loses at least one time when facing a team on rematch in CFB. I have no idea when was the last time a team beat another tea twice in the same season on the college level for football. He was going against probability, history, rematch factor, and the fact that he had a one dimensional offense. It was fated that we lose that game. Those games are hardly EVER won.

agreed, but i think the OP is referring to what happened in the NC gme where we had the identical game plan that we had barely won with in the regular season and bama had it defensed perfectly. the problem with that team was our offense didn't have the ability to adjust and change strategy or at least miles and company didn't think we did. and the way jlee had played against bama i can understand that thinking although we should have at least tryed it. the thing about this year's offense is that we should be able to make adjustments that keep the bama D off sync provided mett is on and we execute well. but you can bet your bottom dollar bama will be uber prepared for what we were successful at last year.
