Rank these notable MLBs from last 20 years in your opinion.. I'll give my ranking as list

1) Bradie James
2) Kendall Beckwith
3) Kelvin Sheppard
4) Devin White (perhaps premature, but Im giving him this spot from what I see so far, and likely to rise)
5) Kevin Minter
6) Lionel Turner
7) Darry Beckwith

Just curious where yall see White stacking up so far.
Note: not including OLBS like Trev, Highsmith, Kwon, etc just MLBs

I would have Kevin Minter at #2. His final year was beastly. He was the perfect MLB.

Yeah Kevin Minter is way way too low. I'd have his as #2 honestly behind Bradie James. Once Devin White is done, I think he can pass them all though.

Using projections I agree with you Lester.
I rank them the same as you but White is not in the number 1 spot yet.

I think that he will be.

Devin White will and up being the best on that list . The best I have personally watched have been Minter, James, Highsmith ,Sheppard, and White.

Beckwith is also up there. Both of them .

Warning, long, but worth your time-

All awesome players. While some were the anchor to championship teams, others might have been arguably more impressive depending on team success. But one thing can’t be denied and that’s all these dudes have been able to play with elite players surrounding them and they were made better by it, just like their play elevated their teammates.

Could share something special about each of these guys, but one specific thing I’ll never forget because it was my one and only time in the swamp:

Kevin Minter in 2012 against the gators had 20 tackles (1 short of the school record of 21) before leaving the game in the second half.. and holy shite did his absence resonate throughout. Florida hadn’t scored all day, but then ran the ball 26 straight fricking times to two scores and a win after trailing 6-0 to win 14-6. I want to say tahj Jones also got hurt or something? Because I remember Kwon Alexander having to play as a freshman and he ended up with a foot injury as well. Pretty sure we had Welter and Luke Muncie on the field at the same time... and mike Gillislee then proceeded to frick our world while Jeff driskel also helped kill us on the ground during those 26 run plays. That game still makes me sick. I remember Odell fumbling after like a 40-50 reception that day.

When Beckwith got hurt last year against Florida it reminded me of this exact game. The Florida offense somehow started finding success. Shows how awesome both of them are, and the impact they had on the field.

Great shite could be said about all these dudes. Think the most awesome thing about these guys is that who’s missing from the list in this lineage? I can only pick out one that’s missing from the chain. I know a guy that will be a Rant legend and may be more well known for negatives than any other of these dudes for being legends...

Side notes:
Ali highsmith, an OLB but frick it, held the record for forced fumbles in school history. until Tyrann broke it... in only TWO seasons as a FR and SO. Holy hell

Perry Riley. Pretty sure he played OLB here, but this dude was a 2 star recruit, and then tore it up in the NFL for a while with the redskins. Just one of the many examples that “inferior talent” is a bunch of shite sometimes.

While we’re 4-2 and may or may not be a dumpster fire, I love watching the tigers and I’ll watch every game. Excited for Saturday against auburn. frick auburn. Love that this rivalry produces some of the craziest, bizarre, but unbelievably close games no matter how good or how bad either team may be. Sure there’s blowouts, but no one knows until we kickoff Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge.

Fwiw Trev was actually a MLB also. James only played it one year in 02 after Faulk left.
