Ehhh...I guess I was hoping for a marquee home game...oh well. Then again, that UMass game should be good.

Not a great (or even really good) OOC home slate. TTU should be improved. UMass will be down from last year. However, USM has had some decent success over the last few years (though their HC has now moved on to Tenn.)

We do get to play Charleston, who just this week fired their coach for apparently being a big meanie!

Guess the staff thinks we're good enough this year to get in without OOC RPI playing a big factor?

Better hope the Arkansas FB game doesn't get moved to the day or there will be no one there for the home opener.

I feel sure that the start time will be flexible based on the FB game.

This is a really bad schedule. Not really happy about it at all.

With that OOC schedule, you're probably looking at needing at least 12-14 SEC wins to make the NCAAT. Unless a few teams in that group are much better than expected, the selection committee won't look favorably upon that schedule. There's a lot of potential for "bad" losses in there with very few opportunities for "good" wins.

Guess it didn't work out... Maybe it was for the next three years... Not sure. A rumor is just a rumor for a reason. Obviously were were likely trying to get something set up but it didn't work out.

Yea and you basically can't lose any games. There is no excuse LSU should lose any. West Virginia won't be easy because of the road environment, but if we want to be considered a legit team at all, that's a must win

I was hoping to see UNO, Tulane, or Nicholls on there.

Yea, not a lot of room for error... Now, there is a possibility of going 12-0 or 11-1 to start the season and have a chance at a very nice record. We will need the SEC to play favorable OOC basketball so the wins we get in conference help out.

Major dissapointment in the non-conference schedule. Its pathetic that we can't schedule a premier team at home or on the road. Obviously our schedule makers paid no attention to how important playing top 25 teams in november and december is. Win or lose, playing tough teams early on helps your rpi. Teams with RPIs of 250 or lower shouldnt be scheduled. Especially when there are no top 25 teams to balance them out.

Maybe, but then why wouldn't they just list it as TBA like everything else.

We'll get some big games once Simmons is on campus.

That doesn't really help LSU this season. The team should be good enough to seriously compete for a NCAAT spot. However, they've kind of put themselves behind the 8-ball with that OOC slate.
