LSU basketball - still possible to win SEC?

They are tied for 2nd (1 game back) with 2 games left.
Isn't it still possible to win the SEC? It may be a tie for it.
If we win or tie for the SEC, wouldn't that historically ensure an NCAA tournament berth?

No, Washington won the Pac 12 last year or year before and didn't get in. the SEC is garbage this year.

Yes, the can still win the SEC. They need to win out (obviously) and have A&M lose once more.
If LSU wins out
USC loses again,
and A&M loses to Vandy,
Then LSU is the #1 seed.
Pathetic to think that if they could have just won 2 of those recent three games they lost, they could have been going into Rupp with no worse than a share of the SEC title
