I don't see a reason LSU couldn't build something similar to this.

Lack of space is a pretty good reason.

Yeah i mean in a perfect world they move UHigh's baseball field and build up LF something awesome like that.

But I'm definitely not holding my breath for that any time soon.

Dont really agree. There is space. They would only have to move the baseball field and that's nothing but a set of bleachers and two dugouts. UHigh can play baseball anywhere.

The "new" Box has a problem filling up as it is, making it bigger would just kill what little atmosphere that's left from the old Box.

Only changes that I'd like to see would be to replace all remaining benches with chairbacks and to extend the concourse to the foul poles.

i agree capacity doesnt really need to increase. It probably doesnt. If they extended chairbacks to the foul poles that would probably reduce capacity a little.

But that is a completely different reasoning than not having enough space.

Actually fill up the ketchup dispensers and provide straws or drink stirrers so I dont have to use my finger.

I've changed directions with my argument. Still, there is not much other space in that general area to move U-High's field, unless you want to eliminate Hayfield parking which LSU won't do.

i havent really put a ton of thought into it but i know the dairy farm is moving. I have no doubt they could find somewhere to put UHigh's baseball stadium.

Dairy farm is moving and LSU golf course is about to be gone. They will have a ton of room to do whatever the hell they want

I don't think they can pick up the field and move it across the street. But I'm not in construction.

Well LSU just paid to have U-High's field turfed so I doubt they are going to move it anytime soon.

If you build it, they will come.

Because both outfields have existing, reserved season tickets sold.

We will never have the largeness of outfield general berm area as those two Mississippi schools, but there's still enough space for a smaller one. This can appease those that really want it, and will not a large financial burden.

Well that's because there are no plans at all for the outfield at the moment. We are talking in hypotheticals.

If there were talks UHigh's baseball field wouldnt even be a blip on the radar as far as hurdles. It would be a complete nonissue.

I agree but I get the strong feeling that those in charge really dont want this type of "atmosphere"

Let's be real: LSU isn't building outfield condos like Mississippi State has in their renderings. That's not going to happen.

A berm can happen. And it can happen without impinging on any existing structures like U-High's field. It would be where they store various on the field equipment and other miscellaneous BS that can just me moved to the side/back.
