Driving his pitching hand into the buckets of rice. Also getting a few towel pops in before his morning breast feeding.

Seriously, thanks for all the support here guys. And even to the admins who have let this thread go especially during the non-sport talk lately.

baseball season will save all. Until, of course, we drop a bullshite game to the likes of Yale or Purdue and the rantards come out trying to fire Mainieri despite starting the season 16-1 preconference.

Is UMASS any good? I haven't followed CBB too closely since I graduated.

What if we win the first game of the year, but only 1-0 against a weak ACC team? Can I ask for the termination of the hitting coordinator's contract?

I'm pretty sure I did last year.

I would say slightly less talented then LSU, we lost because of pour shooting of FT and probably some inexperience.

Oh, I dunno, I've chuckled both times I've posted it, Mr. Sour Puss.....

And I've only written it once before today, not four times. Thank you for being so interested in what I post.

I'm guessing you mean Virginia Tech. That's the 4th game of the year, and they aren't that bad.

I agree. When a team misses 10 free throws (out of 25) and loses the game by 2, that hurts.

Didn't we start 3 freshmen yesterday?

We now return you to the regularly scheduled baseball thread:

At the next Coaches Committee meeting (next Tuesday) Mainieri is going to talk about the recruits we sign this week during this fall's early signing period. I'll let everyone know the highlights of what he says.

Or the time when we score 3 runs against Toledo and everyone will say our lineup stinks.

Nah, I recall Aaron Nola pitching 6 or 7 shutout innings and getting a no decision against Maryland. Thanks Javi.

well at-least first time college starters I don't know if there are JOCO players on our roster.

we will rely on mostly young guys on this team with the exception of JOB3 Hickey and Stringer.

do we think Nola will be the top pitcher in the country this year. MLB draft wise he won't (he isn't a power arm which MLB clubs love) be but record and stats wise will he be the best.

You recall wrong.

Nola got the win in that game, which was the season opener, and Cotton got the save.

And the team batted 9 for 30 (.300). Chris Sciambra went 4 for 4.

I just checked and we did start 3 freshmen: Martin, Quarterman and Mickey. Of course, Martin only played about 30 seconds before he got hurt.

The only first year JC player on the team is Odo and he didn't start although he did play for 3 minutes.
