There is really no reason this is not done. The Saints do it and it works great. It would allow older fans and corporations, many who are just holding seats because they don't want to give them up, the incentive to let them go. More loyal fans would have access to better seats and will actually show up to game and stay longer.

What's worse is my dad and our were going to trade a pair of tickets from our own accounts to each other. They said it could be done but once he died then I couldn't inherit my pair I traded back. Said you could only trade once no matter what

Nope I have 8. But I know several people who have season tickets and haven't been to a game in years.

stub hub then or do what other ppl do and find one outside the stadium before kicko

LSU is now starting to see more and more of inheritance with tix now a lot like how you see up in Green Bay and other scools too.

Thats why ppl sit on their tix.

My dad got the tickets from my grandfather. Is that the 1 "trade" or can my dad now "trade" down to me?

It's one no matter what. We put our tickets in my name, and my dad and I split the tickets. That way we can pass the tickets down a generation. I mean unless I die or something.

I know of someone that held onto 2 seats in someone else's name for 25+ years. The original owner passed away and the tickets got re-sold. I agree that it should be able to be transferred multiple times within a family.

I'm not sure about the "trade" policy, but what you are talking about is keeping it in the family. I wouldn't think that was a trade. When my dad died the tickets went to my mom. We had to produce a death certificate, and a notorized letter from my mom to change them to my name. So now if something happens to me, they go to my wife, etc.

So if a death occurs, the tickets can be transferred?

I just don;t want to lose the seats. (or my dad )

Yes, they go directly to the spouse. If no living spouse, then to a child. That's what they told us. I went up there with his death certificate and they told me I had no right to them if my mother was still living. Which is why we had to get her letter granting them to me notorized. I got the feeling it would be difficult to do this like with a cousin, especially if they had a different last name. But to go from a husband-wife-daughter-son, it wasn't a difficult process.

My dad and I have talked about this recently and really had no clue how it would work.
