You guys are donating. Hell, when LSU was the co-chalk with USC back in 2007, with people legitimately betting them hard locally and worldwide to win it after letting the 2006 season get away from them, when you could get 8/1 and 10/1 with what well figured to be the most talented team in the land..
And so now in 2013, with a record number of NFL early draftees gone from a loaded 2012 team that still dropped 2 regular season games last season, plus the bowl game.
Coupled to a Bama team that's won three of the last four natty crowns, and b-2-b champ, with a roster still largely intact, full of Saban #1 classes in waves, and full of young defensive contributors that only figure to improve an already dominant Saban D. Urban Meyer with easy schedule, loaded Lville out of Mickey Mouse conference, Oregon/Stanford out west,etc..
You wish to bet LSU to win BCS, in a season where they must venture to Athens and TTown??
LSU's regular season win total is 9-3 Under -$1.40!! Wake up!!!!
Um, who invited this guy?

Ohio State has lost 3 games in 29 years cause they play Ohio Wesylan, Miami of Ohio, and Akron four times a year.

Cause they win lots of titles.

Winning those games is how champions are made.

If this was a shortable stock, I'd short it

Damn, as the season gets closer, the odds continue to get better.
Vegas must know good news about Mett's back and Hill's suspension.
We good to go

Again, as of a few days ago Venetian had LSU at 20 to 1. So, technically the odds are better for payoff, but worse if you believe the represent an honest president room of the season. At 20 to 1, that's a bargain IMO

Both those games are winnable. Don't be a puss. LSU always plays bama well on the road

I call it like I see it.
Thought before the season in 2006 and 2007, that LSU was gonna be the best team in the country, bet them to win it both years, and thought them every bit as good as Fla in 2006 regardless who won the crown(lost two dimes in Gainesville that awful day)..still think LSU would've beaten Fla in Atl or BCSCG to this very day. Thought the 2005 team was 3rd best behind USC and Tex. Didn't think LSU would win the GOC nor the brutal rematch.
But, in 2013, I foresee at least 3 or 4 losses, not a BCS Champ nor unbeaten squad. UGA, Bama, Ole Miss, and then maybe Fla or ATM.
I think America has had a lousy President the last 12 years, La an awful Gov the last four-plus terms, BR most any Mayor going back twenty-plus years..doesn't mean I'm not rooting for 'em.

9 to 1 is way to low. Should be 15-1

That's their odds to win the SEC, not the BCS...
...I know, same thing. Just sayin'.
Considering that the SEC champion didn't win the BCS in 2011 it is not the same thing.

We have a chance, but 9 to 1 is ridiculous. It should be at least 20 to 1.

20 to 1 is a pretty good value bet but you are too stupid to understand that.

Go off the Strip and you can find better odds. I got LSU at 50/1 back in November. That is a bit extreme but you can find better.

20/1 is fair/not great odds(LSU a solid dog in 2 of 12 games(16%), nearly 3 games if count 2 pt LSU/Ole Miss preseason line). 9/1(the original premise of this thread if you can f@cking read?) are very poor odds given the question marks of this team(which they may well answer..the talent is there though unproven)
Like I stated earlier, preseason #2 LSU back in 2007(anywhere from 7/1 to 10/1 or more depending when wager), of which anyone with eyes knew they were gonna be more well rounded and better than preseason #1 USC(3/1), with the deepest well-balanced O/D roster in the country, was in the same exact price range.
Six years later, with question marks aplenty, a changed SEC landscape with Saban now at Bama, a much now deeper SEC, a loaded UGA, much better USCe, now added ATM, and unfavorable road schedule..you wanna take the same pitiful Vegas sucker number??
Think about it, the same Vegas that will let you bet LSU to go unbeaten or 1 loss and champ for a meager 9/1 payout, wants you to lay -$1.40 to -$1.50 just to bet LSU Under a 9-3 regular season!!!!

I bet better than 50/1 would be easy to find. I'm not even sure that LSU would be a good bet at 50/1. I certainly would not bet LSU at 9/1. Anybody with a desire to invest and a lick of sense could make money taking bets on LSU at 10/1 or even 20/1.
