I don't even know, I've heard "two of their best players" more than once, but haven't gotten names or links, which is why I was asking.

Chris Denson - second leading scorer I believe and
Jordan Price - our best 3 point threat

Thank you sir. Any reason why? I assume they are just hurt or something, or is it a rules violation thing?

gotcha, I mean you can't say it doesn't hurt Auburn a little bit, but I don't watch them so I can't really say much. Is it tomorrow night yet? I'm ready for some SEC hoops

Jeff Stachelek from a competing fan site picks Auburn.

Here's SoS' chance to prove his prediction skills... again.

Denson avg'd 15.2 ppg, 4rpg, and 2.2apg. Very important to their game.

Jordan Price avg'd 7.2ppg, 1.4rpg, and 1 apg. Not as big. Would be similar to losing to Malik Morgan (but more important because Price is a better scorer and played more minutes).

Denson is the only one who really makes an impact.. Price had a stretch of shooting 3s but has become a non-factor for now... Shaq Johnson is the rising star!

If AU had LSUs schedule they would be 9-2 as well... I cant believe how so many are buying the hype with this untested team...

I don't recall very much hype from any of the regular posters. We know this team still has to prove itself and is an unknown quantity. What we do know is that we are an undersized but scrappy as hell team that will fight you all the way and can come back from way down.

That still doesn't mean that we don't have to win the turnover battle, hold our own on the boards and hit foul shots when we need them. A good shooting night would just be the frosting on top of the cake.

It hurts us a good bit because even with those guys our offensive options are limited. However, we played well against FSU with both out, so it doesn't mean we can't win without them.

Just means we are 1 dementential offensively just like last season.

Huge loss imo, Denson is an enabler legit scoring threat everyone plays better with him on the court. Price really spread the floor with his range he was also a great passer. Foul trouble will be crucial now.

WTF does this mean?

Is he saying that the game could get so ugly that AU will win "comfortably" by 4 (or at most) 6 points?

It will be an interesting game for sure. Shame our two guys are out with stress fractures...but the team came together against Free Shoes U...so I think it will be interesting to see how we run the court and our D should be up to the challenge. I haven't seen any LSU games but think AU by at least 2-4.

Like I said in a previous thread,

Del Swag vs Chubb in the post is looking like the best match-up in the SEC this year IMHO
