What do you guys make of the fact that LSU's offense is 10th nationally in yards per play among Power 5 teams at 6.70 ypp? I thought the offensive tempo was better last night and LSU still only ran 62 plays.
Top 10 Power 5 in yards per play:
North Carolina - 7.28
Baylor - 7.26
Oregon - 7.23
Notre Dame - 7.13
Ole Miss - 7.02
Cal- 6.96
Oklahoma - 6.95
Texas Tech - 6.95
TCU - 6.88
Arkansas - 6.70
LSU - 6.70
The other three playoff semifinalists: Alabama (5.78), Michigan State (5.56), and Clemson (6.43).

I think we need to run more plays.
Which means we need more first downs.
Which means that we need to move the ball better.
Which means that our offense is good when it doesn't suck.
So, I think that our offense needs to suck less so that it can be better more.
Make sense?

The fact of the matter is that Leonard Fournette ran more times than we threw the ball and since his ypc is 6.51, so no question the yard per play for the team would be high.
Plus Guice averages over 8.5 per carry himself.

It can be misleading... LF had so many big plays that it skews it a bit........Although if you take out the Bama and Arkie games I bet we are near the top....
