Can anyone believe the lsu washington spread is 16? I havent been on here in a while so bare with me if this has already been posted. Should I bet the house on LSU or am I betting with my heart and not my head?

No, you should bet the house on LSU in this game

Give me your house; I will bet it.

i'm no expert, but i'd say LSU rolls them by at least 30 points.
the team wants to set the tone for the season

Washington went 0-12 last season, losing even to Washington State who went 2-10 with their other win coming against 1-AA Portland St. Washington will be playing its first game under a new head coach who has never coached a game before. If LSU doesn't win by more than 16, something is seriously wrong.

That said, I still believe that Les will play vanilla...rain will come down...and this game is a lot closer than the experts on TD are predicting.

The quest is, how lucky will they be and how much of this will be due to the zebras?

Unfortunately, I agree with you.

You do know that September is a less than 2 inch of rain month for Seattle don't you?
June through September is not the rainy time.

Bet on Washington in the first half spread, then LSU for the game.

Believe it or not, the spread is low because they are playing at home with a q.b. who's been starting since 1995.
No, but really, I would take the tigers -16 and hope that the Seattle rains stay away just in case.

This game wont be the blowout that ranters believe.
Its a new staff, so LSU really has no tape to watch or definite schemes to prepare for.
UW is coming of a winless (embarassing) year with a new coach, and they are starting the season with a top 10 team in their own house. Think they wont be jacked-up?
In the end, I think our depth and in-game adjustments allow us to pull away in the 4th Q, but it will be close until then.

I have said 23-17 all along!! THIS IS Washington's bowl game.

I think the game will be closer than most people expect:
• Huskies will be pumped to erase the memory of last season with a new (and great) coach at the helm; playing over their heads
• Huskies playing at home
• Healthy Jake Locker
• How will our QBs perform? (I love 'em, but this season will be a learning curve for all three)
I'm thinking 28-14 or 28-21 Tigers. No matter; all I care about is that we win, and I think we will. Wouldn't bet my house on 16 points though.

I'd say 31-3. The defense has something to prove and will be jacked to do so. The offense will have early jitters and then settle down and go to work with a combination of 3 QB's getting snaps.
