Take Furman and the points.

Put Jennings in. If we hadn't lost to Ole Miss I'd be against that, but ... Mettenberger won't improve against Furman. Just give Jennings some experience. Maybe he surprises us.

You're quite the degenerate if you bet this game. It'll be close to that and one you'll be sweating out.
LSU 52-10 or something like that.

I would have thought it would be an early night for the starters, and Miles doesn't like to run it up, but with an open date the next week, they might use it to work out the kinks instead of an audition for next year's depth chart. We may score more points than we ordinarily would in a game like this.

Last week I heard Hanagriff on the radio saying they've got 2 weeks to get a solid gameplan for Bama.
I know Miles says, it's week to week but seriously.
This is a gimmie game, no disrespect to Furman.
There's no chance that Furman comes here and makes it close. Not now, not with this offense, I know, I know. But ya'll know what I'm getting at.
God willing no injuries and please use these 2 weeks to prepare for Bama.
Make it count.

Hanagriff was saying this with the mindset of the LSU/Alabama game deciding the West. Now that the game doesn't mean as much to the standings Hanagriff should be some pretty good radio the next few weeks. He'll probably fly off the cuff more than he normally does and let you know exactly what sucks about this LSU team.
A lot like his 2010 Tennessee postgame line of "LSU will never beat another Nick Saban coached Alabama team while Les Miles is the head coach." His show Alabama week will be pretty good.

I thought the exact same thing.
We'll see, I guess.

LSU will not win this game by 47 points. Easy money.

Seriously agree. Prep for Bama. Beat them, and I can almost forgive the loss.

LSU will have to make a dramatic comeback in the fourth quarter to win the game by 7, and the 50,000 people in the stands will criticize those who left early for not sticking around to watch "the greatest comeback in LSU history."

People who say we have nothing left to play for are foolish. I would love to have the Tigers knock off Bama and keep them out of the NCG.

Les Miles won't allow it.

I really don't think Lsu covers this one

Jennings will get a good bit of playing time. I think the way LSU approaches a season is that as long as there are goals that can be attainable, they will use their best players to reach them. Once there are no more goals to be obtained, there is no reason to not prepare for next season.
