I'm ready for a healthy dose of Williams/Guice/Brosette until November, unless UF looks like it might be a harder game than we think at the moment. The rest of those teams we'll be huge favorites and probably cruise comfortably.
Again, don't get me wrong, he is so fun to watch and incredibly dominant. He's probably the best college running back I've ever seen play in person. Might be GOAT status before its all said and done, at least at the college level.
BUT, I about had a heart attack when I saw him limping a little after that 1 yard TD dive against Auburn. We really can't risk him getting hurt (yes, I know he can get hurt on any play) and I feel like he's doing a lot, more than he needs to do for the team to get the W. I'd love to see him get around 15 carries, definitely less than 20 per game until competition ramps back up.
If we're going to make a serious run at a MNC we're going to need him full speed in November. Plus those other three guys are solid SEC backs and they might easily develop to exceed expectations, esp Guice. Behind that OL they're going to run wild on these next 5 opponents, I have no doubt.
Just my two cents.

Technically it's no longer a MNC. That's what the playoffs are for.

Would love to see him plant Vernon Hargreaves in the ground.

He will get over 100 per game before gwtting benched. This team wants that Heisman and a National Championship this year. It wont be just Fournettes Heisman it will be the whole teams heisman.

And can't play scared. He wants the ball, you give it to him. Within reason of course.

No. Let him play. Don't give him 30 carries a game, but let the man play ball. 15-20 carries a game. Our identity will form during that time. It is needed.

Suspect.

I've heard everyone comparing him to Herschel Walker and Adrian Peterson, but I don't know. With the shaved head and beard he looks a bit like Isaac Hays. So I'm going to say he's like Isaac Hays after he's been given the Captain America super soldier serum.

Actually I don't think this is true. It's still "mythical" as it isn't recognized by the NCAA, and they won't recognize it unless the playoffs are big enough to include every conference champ (and not just the big 5 either).

That's one school of thought. Leave your Ferrari in the garage, and show up to the race in something you THINK will win, and leave something home you KNOW will win, because your afraid it'll get dinged.
If I was making the call - and I'm not sure CLM hadn't done this - I'd ask Fournette. "What do YOU want to do. We all recognize you've already done enough to make a Buncha money n 2 years. Wanna play / add to it / run it 25 a game / risk injury, or play it safe ." Fournette prolly says give it to me every time.
