Lost in the win: one of the best CWS games I've seen LSU play in

For me, this was a huge nail biter and one of the best LSU outings of the CWS I've ever watched. Both teams played hard, made silly errors, and clawed back to a 1-run game. It wasn't slow with no hitting (like recent years).
Obviously our best game there was the Morris home run, but for me this ranks top 5.
Geaux Tigers!

What silly errors did LSU have?

Had HRs too. The long ball makes it exciting.

Wasn't even close to either Texas games, the Stanford. Game, the Miami game, the Bama game....

I'm with geauxfish. LSU had silly errors?

I don't know about labeling this game as anything, but it was definitely "yell out loud/jump up and down/high five others in the room" - type entertainment.
The examples you listed were championship games. Of course last night didn't match up to those. But with the way LSU has shown up to Omaha the previous two times, winning last night was fricking huge. If anything, just to get the monkey off their backs.

It was a tough gritty game but not a great game. It was a great win though

With the exception of the 5-3-5 double-play,...No!

I think it was a great game to illustrate how resilient this team is.
Our ace was having control issues, and we weren't hitting the ball hard (with one notable exception).
The two things LSU did well were:
1) play solid defense; and,
2) take advantage of FSU mistakes.
I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day.
Now, let's go smash some Beavers.

Don't watch much baseball personally. Made the effort to watch last night and really enjoyed it. Great finish.

You are wrong
But I'll take a few more just like it

You haven't been watching long. That's okay. Some CWS games that were absolutely better:
1993 comeback vs Long Beach in semi finals
1996 championship game obviously but also the the 2-1 win over Florida to go to Championship game
1997: all 4 games especially the Peterson Game and then beating the breaks off Bama
2000: smashing bombs off Mark Pryor and then the championship game comeback
2008: Blake Dean walk off hit against Rice
2009: championship game vs Texas

One that gets forgotten was the win against Long Beach State that put them into the 1993 championship game.

1st game against Texas in '09 was a special come from behind win thanks to DJ.
Game 3 was not as dramatic.

I'm sorry but we were lucky to win that game. We had shitty at bats. Lange looked awful on the mound. 6 out of 7 or 5 of 6 innings the lead off man got on. Most of the time was a walk. He couldn't command his curveball again.

Only real thing LSU did bad in the field on was KR missing the easy Double play when we was basically standing on 2nd and was just flat footed frozen and let the ball go by.
