Looking forward to the Syracuse game. Hope we smash them

our first game in person this season.
Everyone is bummed and frustrated. But sadly some here have now embraced the opportunity to loudly blast LSU. Few fans bases in college sports dump on their own team and want them to fail more than LSU fans do.
I hope we win 42-0. Those of you wanting LSU to fail and get leveled by Auburn,Alabama and Florida need to practice your amusing Paul Mainieri posts on how clueless he is for baseball threads. Should be some great posts with 5 months to work on them.

I have posted this in so many different threads my finger is about to fall off. I keep up with syraclose very closely. They beat out mac teams, ga southern, odu, fau type teams for virtually all there recruits. They literally have about 5-6 TOTAL PLAYERS that would be on scholly at LSU. Especially after last week, we are gonna beat the piss out of the orangewomen. They are probably not even as good as BYU.

I simply cannot fathom how our stupid fricking AD fell for this used car salesman and his mouth breathing talk radio reject sidekick

I follow them closer. We do have massive talent issues. High school football is very bad in New York. The Central New York region (which includes Syracuse) looks like it's going to produce three players going to Power Five schools this year. That's about average. About 5 good players come out of NYC / Long Island every year, and anyone worth a damn from down there is going to Ohio State or Notre Dame. We have to pull from Florida and Ohio, which means we're never going to get the talent that other programs will.
That said, we like our quarterback, we have a couple of good receivers, and our defense is much better than last year. And the system is constructed to maximize what talent we do have.
We don't think we'll win, but we're not directional state either.

Don't want to start a pissing contest about following syraclose with you, but I really, really, really keep up wih them due to a a buddy of mine of 25 yrs, who hounded me constantly about how bad LSU was back then, and the 'close happened to be making a few first downs at the time.He hasn't talked much fb in the last 15 yrs though. I check close.com daily, bud polquin (now retired) brent axe etc.. I WAS BLANKING ECSTATIC when this 2 game series was announced. You would be surprised with my close knowledge!
