He should have chunked his bat 90 feet. I guess the Cajuns would have approved.

Or smashed his batting helmet with whoever was on deck, making it fly to the back stop.

Check the preview. But the guy tonight was 6-4. And also their best hitter tonight, Dylan Butler came in hitting .207.

The team pulled it off. He didn't do it himself

Should we make a separate thread for the bat flip when he flew out to left?

The guy that started tonight was 6-1 with a 3.24 ERA. Starter tomorrow is 6-4 with a 2.87 ERA. ULL fans are acting like they have fricking Randy Johnson taking the mound tomorrow, but really it's just a dude who put up decent numbers, but not outstanding, and obviously he's been facing Fun-Belt quality competition.

They're convincing themselves they are in a good spot still....normal fan stuff IMO.

However, they're crazy if they think the ULL coach didn't pitch the guy he felt was their best.

ETA: Also see some bitching about the umpire....he called it the same for both pitchers no doubt about it.

He was pretty bad but equally bad for both teams no doubt. About their pitcher it's the truth but it's not like LSU hasn't faced great pitching or hit another pitcher that isn't just as good. Really doesn't matter who they did pitch or will pitch, what matters is he's going to be a freshman and LSU has faced better or at least as good. They def need to change their approach and let these guys get them out and not get them selves out. Also need to adjust to how ULL is defending the middle of the field. Possibly bunt more in this game and put more pressure on that 3rd baseman to play another great game!!

The ump was extremely consistent both ways.. Which is all you can ask.. Even if we don't agree with the zone

I have no issue

You guys sound like delusional homers. The guy we saw tonight doesn't have nearly the movement their Ace possesses tomorrow. Keep in mind at one point tonight they retired 17 straight batters without us mustering even a single. They ran out their number 2 tonight and Will Bacon from their bullpen. If you recall correctly we already saw Bacon at the Wally Pontiff where he went on to pitch 1.1 innings, giving up 2 hits, and 3 runs. Not exactly stellar numbers. They still have an Ace starter, their top closer, and their top two bullpen guys left. Our bats better wake up and we really need Poche to have a good outing tomorrow.
