This is a huge move in a vegas line over the course of a week. In this case it didn't level out. It went from 3 to 6, stayed there for a few days, then jumped to 7.5 in the last 24 hours. Something is afoot to cause the folks to bet on LSU in such a lopsided fasion.

I mentioned this on another board. No way is it primarily due to Fournette playing. I even saw it at -8 yesterday at one place.

I'm kicking myself for not throwing some action down when it was at 3.5. Would have been some easy money made.

Which is a bad sign for the Tigers. Vegas rarely loses. Lord I hope Vegas loses tonight.

They're just changing the spread so more money goes the other way to balance it out. That's how Vegas never loses, balance.

Ole Miss simply isn't that good outside of Chad Kelly and his receivers. The QB has to carry them to have any chance.

LSU did not cover the line the first 4 games under Miles. They have covered both games under O. Hopefully it will continue tonight.

DBU is correct. Vegas puts a line out the will encourage maximum action. To get maximum action, you have to entice gamblers on both sides. They also want to limit the amount of risk. They don't want 80% of people on one side, because it could really cost them.

Nothing afoot here. Just alot of people betting LSU. Hell with a line of -7.5 I'd take Ole Miss in a heartbeat. I'm a big LSU fan but whoever takes LSU at that number is foolish.

Most people here don't know how that works. I agree with you.

Southern Miss is not Ole Piss. Game will be close.

Kind of funny when the clowns on Gameday pick us just because it's at TS. I have a feeling we are going to beat the piss out of Ole Miss. Thankfully this isn't a Miles-era feeling either where I will be extremely disappointed.

Vegas doesn't do this as much as you think. 57% of the money was on Ole Miss when the line went from 7 to 7.5 and the percentage has held steady. The Aggies have about 70% of the bets and that line has continued to move up.
