I really do expect him to have one heck of a year especially if defenses have to respect a passing game. Gosh, just thinking about that makes my pulse race...

It does not matter how great a talent you have in the backfield positions, if the other team knows the only thing you can do is run.

I believe LF has a higher ceiling but as of right now there is nothing that says LF is the better rb.

We may never really know who is better. Chubb will get 20-25 carries every game as lf7 won't.

UGA and LSU have veteran offensive lines so we'll both have vaunted rushing attacks.

Julio Jones vs. AJ Green part 2.

Fournette is better FWIW. Chubb is also a stud though.

He's bigger and stronger. He offers more scheme versatility. Chubb has the best acceleration of any RB I've seen, but he gained more yards because he got more carries in an offense that also featured a passing threat.

Leonard will show you this season why he's one of the greats.

Well that's why I don't use yards per game as a measuring stick. I use yards per rush and Chubb just set the sec single season yards per carry record.
That's insane since your ypc usually go down with increased carries.

Both are outstanding. I'm biased to Fournette but Chubb is an animal clearly.

Well. LF only carried 11 times in the Nowhere Bowl...

I watched a vid on youtube of every carry in that game. Had they ran Fournette like UGA did Chubb, he'd have over 300 yards and probably 5 TDs just rushing.

Fournette's touches in that game went
21 yard KR
4 yard
18 yard
5 yard
8 yard TD
100 yard KR TD
4 yard
2 yard
5 yard
89 yard TD
-1 yard
1 yard
8 yard

We should have ran the hell out of him. Although the main problem was that the defense was giving up way too many plays and we were running off explosive TDs (75, 89, 100).

If you watch Chubb's highschool highlights they are amazing. He was bad arse. It doesn't surprise me he is doing so well in college. He will be a star at the next level. Now, does that mean he is better than LF? I don't think so, they will be 1 and 2 in the SEC before they are finished, I would take either one.

Chubb is very good, LF7 is just great

Can't compare stats, Chubb should gain more yards with the SEC east having weaker overall defenses. Georgia has a comparable offense line and more balanced attack.

This board has been saying it for years, with our lack of passing attack, opposing defenses stack the box and it is just tougher yards at LSU.

Look at Mett's last year and look at Hill's production, they go hand in hand. LSU had a great balance and the threat of a forward pass opened up the running lanes.
