LF is the best player in CFB, but LSU fans may be focused elsewhere

If this Board is any indication, there is a huge anticipation of disappointment with B. Harris and the passing game. With a player as good as Fournette it's amazing all the emotional energy on BH.
Maybe we've been disappointed for so long with QB play, we're just preparing ourselves for frustration.
I think Harris improves but continues to struggle with short passes. He'll be good enough with LF in the backfield.

Harris needs to improve and will.
Problem is will it be enough to get the SECs better defensive to not sale out to stop the run when we get to the meat of the schedule( aka November)

I'm most worried about the defense

I think we made the best offseason move in CFB, but we need drastic improvement over last season (which I think we'll do)

I think most of us realize that LF cannot excel without the threat of an above average passing game. If we can't stop defenses from stacking the box, then we will continue to be a one-dimensional offense.

I heard this so much last July; I think I believed it and said it myself

Just an average passing game would be sufficient.

LF was the best player last year and the passing game got us into trouble. I love LF, but I only own LSU attire, not buga nation.

How is having one of the best seasons in the history of the SEC not excelling?

Who said it wasn't exciting? LF will be the best and most exciting player in college football this year.

Disagree to a certain extent. We were 5th in the SEC last year and 3 of those above us were in the East.

With all of those defenders stacked in the box, if he's too flustered to complete 10-yd outs, quick hitters to the WR's and TE's, and screens, then they need to find someone who can. That's the point - with a stacked box, that often leaves man-to-man coverage which should make it easier to complete passes.
