make the post game traffic like it was in 2005/2006

Even if you don't tailgate an evening in TS is a minimum 6-8 hour time investment. Reduce that time investment and more will stay.
1) Games must be shorter....a lot shorter. I like the idea about video billboards for the TV viewers to keep the game going. More people will stay for a three hour game that is not constantly interrupted by the redcap.
2) It's always going to be hard getting a huge crowd out off of campus but no one is arguing we can't improve this dramatically...has to happen
3) Stop the gimmicks. People go to see college football yet. Let's promote that instead of this incessant need to mimic the NFL stadium experience. If the games are shorter with less interruption we would have a lot less of this nonsense anyway.
4) Disagree with poster above..better wifi and tech access would allow people to quickly do what they want to do instead of fiddling with their devices forever to send a text....it is 2017...this is a necessity like it or not.

Parking, traffic, piped-in music, lack of highlights from other games across the country, the constant barrage of corporate sponsors, the nickel-and-diming the average fan...these are the most frequent comments I hear, and all of them are legit.
The piped-in music is by far my biggest complaint. I remember a time when the band played during the tv time outs but now, it is only minimal. And the repetitive recorded music between plays got annoying. I started to feel like I was at a Saints game. Nothing against the Saints but I prefer the traditional LSU gameday experience by far to any Saints game because the most recent Saints games seem more like a business environment than anything else. Absolutely no excitement.

The recorded music has no place in college football. Go to a stupid NBA game if you are too ADD to handle paying attention between plays.
I see a lot of good ideas here, I wish some would get implemented. Traffic is a city problem that they dropped the ball on 40 years ago. LA and BR in general continue to make short-sighted decisions around mobility projects, always failing to see the bigger picture over the current budget/hassle. That's why other states like GA, TX, and TN grow a heck of a lot better around their major cities.

3. Go back to old method of allowing students to use IDs to get in
How is it done now?

Maybe if someone came up with a few things the fans want and pushed for it, the next AD would listen after they fire Joe.
nfl, nba went through this long ago, they made stadiums/arenas more fan friendly in a number of ways, don't see us being able to do much with LSU/TAF being so greedy, and maybe TS being imploded and a new venue built

On the way I to the GB game last year I stopped at Wrigley. Classic game day experience. No tons of ads everywhere you looked (GoDaddy in the endzone now?? ... looks ghetto). Minimal music blasts. Premium experience for the fans, not just a tv set.
LSU needs to:
- Build the band back up to full strength
- Let them play whatever they want
- Cut out the played out "aiights...", guns and roses, midnight bells... sound blasts every minute"
- Let people tailgate
- Put police out there by the parties
- Get an AD and Chancellor and a board of supervisors who aren't tight asses with no connection to LSU

The working man with a family and other financial responsibilities has literally been priced out of Tiger Stadium. Blue collar fans made the foundation of that program. They're gone and relegated to their dens and large screen TVs. You're never going to get them back. The focus on the "fan" started dying some time ago. The parking fee put the nails in the coffin.

How exactly do you propose you enforce punishment for leaving early?

bulls eye. Skip Bertman figured out how to pack the Box. Keep the bathrooms clean and families will show up. Make the PA audible but not soul crushing. Put a good team out on the field that wins and people will show up, that's all they want.
Alleva has done the opposite. Basketball and Football games have been almost empty stadiums on TV. Its sad to see the current state of Tiger Stadium. The only changes in the last 10 years at Tiger Stadium has been more concessions for the box seats.

But if you were in charge, what 5 things would you do to fix it?
This is EASY!
1) Get a new AD and LSU Administration that knows the culture and wants to preserve tradition! Leadership vacuum big time for LSU...starting at the top!
2) After #1, encourage the tail gating experience for what it is..tradition. Preserve it, make it better...NOT try to make a dime by charging for every inch of campus that is used. For now, I've given up...too much hassle and now I have to pay for the campus space I've used for 20 years!
3) Fix the G..Damn TRAFFIC!!! Takes hours to get to campus, forever to get off campus if all the crowd stays...ridiculous!
4) Parking...FIX IT!!!!!!!!
5) Fix the schedule to make it attractive and oh yeah, field a team we can be proud of

how little room there is
I thought this would be discussed more. I go on average about once a year and the last 2 times were miserable. Too much arse and not enough seats. The usher had to be brought over and everything but there was nothing he could do. Everyone on the row was supposed to be there but couldn’t fit.

The solution is to put a real competitive team on the field.
The bells and whistles are nice but don't mean shite if you aren't competitive
That's really not the solution given that Bama faces the same problems we do. I dont think you'd say that their product is lacking would you?

Students pay about $90 and have to print out tickets. Also all students arent guaranteed tickets, your nae goes into a raffle and you either get all, package A, or Package B. As far as I know, most get all but its still BS.

Get rid of the piped in music.
And last night was bad. I understand age plays a part in this thing but I'm not sure who they were targeting last night..??!!
But as someone already posted, PUT A GOOD PRODUCT ON THE FIELD.
Posted on 9/24/17 at 4:39 pm to Jwb0581
The number one to me: Let fans sell their ticket rights. To many fans just hold on to tickets cause the family had them for years. Put more motivated fans in the better seats. It works for the saints!

you know what though - i was at the game at syracuse and even though their fans didn't know anything about football, they put together a gametime experience 10x what tiger stadium looked like last night. even in a freaking mini dome. last night was sad and hard to watch.
