Auburn is slowly abandoning the run based attack cause they aren't effective after going to OT against s football giant.

Oregon got outrushed and the ball shoved down their throat by a big 10 power team.

Really want to talk about space.

Space is that land LF, and DW ran in last night

Actually, I'm not sure if you're trying to be facetious but LSU had a great deal of success running out of the I last night -- even with 10 in the box.

Not being facetious at all.

I've literally never seen LSU use the Power I.

Considering Oregon lost AGAIN, in a big game, and Auburn's offense looked like hot garbage because they let their rookie QB keep throwing the ball, maybe better outcomes for both.

I'm referring to their offensive philosophy. We clearly have better RBs, but they are able to achieve similar results running the ball because they put their athletes in favorable situations. We do the exact opposite by telegraphing where we are running every play.

LSU's run attack will be even more successful when we start seeing 180 to 200 yards passing IN conjunction with the running game. That's where the magic is.

I get what Miles did last night; but it was MState that lost the game by missing the 2pt conversion and final winning FG.

When you're up 21-6 with the ball at mid-field, mid-way through the 3rd -- going 3 and out instead of taking some shots down the field is what led to that downward spiral.

LSU, in almost all of the games they've won, have had opportunities to put teams away and Miles chooses conservative. It wins game, but not championships.

yeah I misread what you said -- I was referring to just a vanilla I formation -- that worked quite well last night.

It just annoys me when someone starts a thread telling us that they're going to set us straight and doesn't even know what the formation is called.

Unbelievable statement. How was it clear that Harris' arm was not going to win it for us?

He was were way off target in the 2nd half... when LSU was up by 8pt in the 4th, Harris threw it down field in double coverage when we needed 8yds. You have 9 in the box and you throw it double coverage down field??????

His other passes earlier in the 2nd half weren't even close. He was just chunking it.

Harris was very effective last night and we ran a playaction pass for a TD early in the game, although it was called back.

We threw the ball effectively and just enough to win. I saw enough in the first half to be excited about what this team can do.

He was throwing to post routes which the most pedestrian college QB can complete. Once MSU adjusted he was a basket case and just chunking the ball.

So you think continuing to run into a 10 man box, when everyone in the stadium knows where you are going, creates some kind of advantage?

it show toughness. Its the manly way to play football. Passing the ball is for pussies.

If you can't see that Miles played close to the best with a 14-0 because he didn't want Harris (making his 2nd career start) to make a mistake that made him lose confidence or that put LSU in a bad position you are a retard. We were very creative the first couple drives. Does that make it the right call that we got conservative? No, but it is what it is. Harris looked very good last night and will get to make some plays at home against auburn next week.

If harris throws a pick in the second half, these are the same people that would then be screaming about harris throwing it when we are picking up 5yds per carry, 2nd start, on the road at ranked opponent, give it to LF, and on and on

they are just reactionary about everything

Ironically I remember this board when Saban was here and people used to bitch about Saban sitting on leads and winning with defense too

like it makes a damned bit of difference what kind of I formation somebody calls it. We shoulda lost last night and somebody should still be trying to get a foot out of their arse

Fournette said no on in the locker room was happy after the game, that it should not have been close. I agree.

8 punts in the last 9 drives and letting an inferior team hang around and almost beat us. Luckily Dak missed a wide open man on the two and they don't have a long distance kicker worth a damn.

Hope for improvement and that Harris can show enough for Les to have some confidence in him down the road.

If your weren't too busy nitpicking, you might see the point he was trying to make. I totally agree...too predictable.
