Hester was not particularly talented. Hester was determined. Sometimes, that is better. In 2007, that was better.

Hester had heart... something these past teams have been missing at times.

It takes a lot more than heart to collect a NFL paycheck like Hester did. He had talent.

frick QB talk right now. Our RB's are fricking sick. With the O line class we just had, they are gonna run wild.

No.

We don't play in a soft taco conference. We play in the SEC. You can't simply line up and run it into a stacked box all fricking game long, Les.

Without a competent QB and a competent offensive scheme, you will lose at least two games per year in the SEC.

Florida - 50 Carries 195 Yards
Kentucky - 51 Carries 303 Yards
Mississippi - 55 Carries 264 Yards
Alabama - 56 Carries 183 Yards
Arkansas - Missing 2 OL Starters
aTm - 57 Carries 384 Yards
Notre Dame - 38 Carries 285 Yards

4-2 in these games.

In our 2 losses, we held a lead with 0:50 remaining against Alabama, who drove 55 yards (with 0 timeouts) to send the game to OT, and did not touch the ball in the final 6:00 of the game as Notre Dame drove 71 yards and milked the entire clock before kicking a GW FG.

If you play defense, you can run into a stacked box all fricking game long.

Obviously, was trying to keep the thread on track.

but the offensive line has not lived up to the hype. They have been below average.

God help the SEC if they go from "below average" to "deadly".

All this yardage with a stacked line of scrimmage and little to no threat to complete a forward pass. Last year's offensive line performed very well.

Let's look at it this way, and see if I am correct. If great QB's can make their mediocre wide receivers look like studs (Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees), why can't our 10 great players on the offense make our QB look good?

How has that worked in the past?

No shite. If we have QB production in 2015 like we did last year, we're in the same 8-5 boat, regardless of who else is out there on the field. We're not gonna win big with a QB who goes 7-for-16 for 72 yards and can't be trusted to throw the ball on critical 3rd down situations.

Why do people keep thinking we can win big with a QB who ranks near the bottom of the SEC? Ain't happening.
