How anyone can still believe that after his two failed men's BB hires, the mediocre women's hire, and the clusterfrick search and hire that gave us O is amazing to me.

I'm just dumbfounded that he woukd hire such am unproven coach at such a critical moment. we fired miles because the program had slippped. at that point alleva has to know the replacement for miles is very important. he could hire a known commodity that would right the ship but no he hires ed Orgeron

I don't think I've ever wanted to see someone fired more than I do Alleva. And that includes all coaches in all sports going back to the 80s.

After the debacle at Duke that Alleva was involved in, it pisses me off that he was even given an interview here much less hired.

Wow, fire coach O already? Why, he only lost his first game. Did we fire coach Miles after his first loss in Tiger Stadium after blowing a 21 point lead at half time to a piss poor Tennessee team in only his second game?

By the way, how many coaches go undefeated in their first year? Not very many. Coach Miles' world didn't end after his first loss and coach O's world won't end either after his first loss and no matter how much you pout and shout like a toddler.

Damn, are you more than a little unhinged, coach O only lost one game and he is already deemed a failure? Wow! In other words, if coach O is anything other than superman, he isn't good enough and needs to be fired ASAP.

I have news for you ignoramus, you better get used to coach O being LSU's head coach because you will be stuck with him for at least three more years and probably a lot longer whether you like it or not. So stop acting as if you own LSU because you don't. Indeed, you are just a Miles butt licker.

All that game proved last night was LSU is not as good as most people had assumed and that coach O and his coaching staff have a lot of work in front of them, and I hope they start fixing LSU by recruiting a big, strong, and fast mobile quarterback just like Fitzgerald.

Oh well, I guess Miles left the cupboard a little less stocked up than we thought. Sure the team completely lost its cool last night, however, by far the biggest issue is they were whipped like red headed step children on both sides of the ball and that can only be fixed by recruiting.

He was a failure in his only other real head coach job. That's why those with their head not stuck up their arse wanted no part of the man here.

Now, is the season over? frick no, but that last night was a terrible excuse for LSU football and says O might indeed suck as bad as some feared.

I believe the OP was talking about Alleva being the one fired. Although, he may have also meant that Orgeron needed to go as well.

My knee-jerk reaction is to say no. But I'm still trying to figure out if it's him or the administration that's the problem.

I'm not convinced that the hire last year wasn't driven by the same stupidity that prevented pulling the trigger the year before

I sure hope LSU doesn't unjustly fire Coach O after 3 years. I hope he gets to coach a fourth year cause he'll start winning big his fourth year.

if Coach O gets a fourth year from LSU, and starts winning big, which he will, Ole Miss will really regret unjustly firing Coach O after only three years. Right Space Clownboy?

This may very well be the case. But I'm telling you guys, the fans pushed alleva to make this hire. Guys like space cowboy and tiger Ree and the 1000 other loud as posters that stroll through here.

Alleva will say he hired who the fans wanted. Right or wrong

We can agree on this.

You can blame O all you want but so far nobody has given a single example I what O did to cost us this game. The fault last night is on Aranda and Canada. Arandas gameplan was pure garbage and Canada to this point has shown nothing of the offense he ran at Pitt. We can sit here and say we are thin at WR and make excuses for this guy but it's BS. In the Pitt v Clemson game last year he was in shotgun 70% of the time bit last night we were still using run run pass punt until the 7 minute mark in the 4th quarter!!! I told a friend I was watching th game with last night after our third drive that we couldn't move their dline and would have to have 35-40 pass attempts to win the game. We had 22 with just under 8 minutes left down by 30. Last night was bad but it could be a valuable lesson that we need to extinguish all of our old habits (run heavy) and totally go to what Canada did at Pitt. His system works he upset great teams last year with it and his concepts are being used in the NFL now, look at K.C. They're the suprise team in the league and they're using his stuff to do it.

He fricked up a basketball hire and corrected it, he fricked up in football so maybe he'll have some balls for the next hire in football as well.

Having a disaster of a coach in a sport pretty much ensures the next one will be a big hire. And before anyone says anything, Les Miles was not a disaster even after he fell off.

Of course not. He is the biggest problem with LSU football. What a complete joke.
