For those of us who were students in the 90's and sat through Spurrier trying to run the score up every chance he could, how satisfying is this on some childish level?

Pretty satisfying and I'm not ashamed to admit it

I don't hate the guy. If things had fallen a little differently, he could have been our coach on two different occasions. I hope he's going out on his own terms and it's not some medical issue.

As one who sat through some arse whippins at his hands as a quarterback and coach I'm going to miss him. I'm glad he is not at Florida anymore.

In his prime as a coach at Florida, he was a a** h***.

And leaving the team at mid-season, well, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Bye bye birdie.

I was there with you in the 90's. I hated Spurrier and the way he demolished lsu. Looking back I understand it better now. The SEC was not considered the power juggernaut it is now. We as a conference got left out when schools like FSU, Nebraska, Michigan etc had similar records. He did what he thought would get him the consideration similar to What Baylor and tcu are doing today. I will miss him.
