This is an angle definitely not spoken about. The tin foil hats should be put on right about now. Let's just say that Old Sankey is much smarter than than dumb look on his face would suggest. This could very well be the power play that puts all the power into the SEC Commissioner's hands. In order for this to happen, the Presidents would have to agree to allow the Commish to have more power "for the betterment of the SEC moving forward". It would take an complete debacle such as this one to make this happen. Something so big in scope that the Presidents would willingly allow for that office to yield more power. It's been done in the NFL and all across this country. It's how the game is now played. Old Jeremy Foley is 3 weeks from retiring. It's definitely not inconceivable that the two met and planned this on his way out. Yes, the tin hats are burning hot right now. If the SEC Commissioner ends up with a whole lot more say so after all this, just know that this could have been the plan the entire time. When things are too crazy to just make any sense, there's always a time to question the deep inner workings of their intentions. Just something to take a look at going forward. Tin foil hats off. Carry on.

This should cost Sankey his job, so he wouldn't be the beneficiary if your theory was true.

ETA: but #staywoke though

Funny that you are getting laughed at while we fully buy into the idea that Alabama is secretly behind every football woe that befalls LSU.

Actually could make a certain amount of sense. Maybe not planned, but he saw an opportunity and took advantage. Regardless, it's an obvious difference between SEC and NFL Commissioners...

Let me guess, you'll be voting in favor of California legalizing marijuana for recreational use.

I'm just putting it out there as something to pay attention to going forward. I've been involved with major corporations, buyouts, and definitely know how the political landscape is played out. I really just put it out here as another thing to look into and to have it down in black and white to look back on at a later date. "Conspiracies" are everywhere nowadays, and I don't partake in them. This upcoming "decision" by the SEC Commissioner will absolutely lay the ground work for the league moving forward. I've been involved in buyouts and "backdoor" decisions that affect many lives. If you've never been involved in such, you would never know what can actually transpire. The ones that laugh and blindly think nothing can ever happen are always the ones the most shocked when it goes down. This isn't saying that any of this did transpire, as I'd have absolutely no way of knowing that for sure. However, having been in many of these same situations, just know that this isn't beyond the realm of happening. It's not worth getting all worked up. It's just an angle that I've personally had many dealings with similar to this and wanted to share what "could" possibly happen. No biggie. Carry on whether you laugh or not.
