He said he doesn't play golf or tennis and loves coaching. Sounded like he'd jump at a good offer.

Why would he coach for free? Whatever he makes coaching offsets his buyout, so unless he lands a 3-5M/year job, he just working for no additional compensation for a few years.
If he really wants to coach, he'll negotiate a lump sum buyout from LSU, less than what he is entitled to receive, but he can get it all up front without having it offset by future compensation.
