I thought that was pretty candid. You could tell he lit up a bit talking about Harris.

On what he wants QB wise "both guys can operate the offense"

"we're looking for what advantages are given to the offense by their contribution"

Harris, come on down

harris was ahead of jennings from a talent standpoint when he stepped foot on campus. the mental side of things took time. starting as a true freshmen at QB has a learning curve. I have no doubt that harris will be one of the leaders of this team come the start of this season. looking forward to it.

Damn I'm pumped for this year

Really could be special if we can finally have the O and D click on the same year, and it feels like it's this year to me

I've always wondered what this would be like.

Nice watch!

although he mentioned take care of the ball twice.. Miles is so worried about turning the ball over.. To a point where I believe players play too tight. I would rather a mentality of we are going to put the ball in the end zone every time we touch it.

This still made me glad to know Coach Miles is the coach at LSU.

See LSU - Va Tech. That has to me our most complete games under Miles.

Hell, it causes the coaches to coach too tight.

I mean, quite obviously, taking care of the ball is important in football. The turnover ratio is typically a pretty decent barometer of success.

HOWEVER, I don't think 3 and out with a punt is really a huge step up in the "taking care of the ball" environment. I mean yeah, it's better than a fumble, but, unless you stop the other team too AND, your punter is better, that shite's gonna work against you.

This may be an accident of editing, and I may be reading too much into it, but did anyone else notice that he didn't mention AJ by name?

He mentions Harris's preparation, but not AJ's. Hm...

Les is going to play the person that gives us the best chance at winning. Harris had the talent last year, but the mental part was below that of Jennings. With Harris taking all of the snaps in fall camp, I think we see a more confident and poised Harris.

Turnovers in 2008 turned Miles into an ultra conservative offensive mind
