Wish he could do field and other interviews with that solid flowing speech he showed behind that podium

it surely is in response to Rabalais' piece in the Advocate this week, which I thought was truly classless.

Rabalais' piece in the Advocate
what did it say? about Russell Sheppard?

It's awesome that you share you intelligence with all of the boards.
Rabalais' article has been linked on here somewhere, or just go to the Advocate website and check it out. Yes, it was about Shep and repeatedly made the point about how disappointing his career had been, underachieved, never lived up to potential, regrets, etc. I absolutely could not believe my eyes, that Rabalais would write and the Advocate would publish something like that right before the last home game/senior night, before the season's over, and about a kid who will graduate on-time/early with a college degree. I mean, could Rabalais dig a little deeper and think about what it means over the course of a lifetime to be a Tiger? There's a half-dozen ways he could have turned that piece about Shep, but instead he left it like a big pile of dog poop. Kudos to Miles and Shep for being bigger.

But ya' see the Advocate's just practicing hard hitting journalism, on Russel Shepherd, who's never been in trouble, stayed in school, and has never whined.
He knows, as does everyone else , that he didn't live up to billing.
But don't let that stop the Advocate. What a great send off to a senior as he gets ready to play his last home game.
The Advocate. All Class. The Litter Box is sure going to miss it.

Did you start this post just to see how many negative responses you could get? Les is clearly smarter than you. Everyone else understood what he was saying

That bowling thing.....sorry but you can't help but love the guy

The passion and respect he feels for his players was clearly shown. Any kid thinking of coming to LSU should be shown how he feels for every player...star or scout team!
He's got a damn fine team and he's proud of them.
I'm sorry you can't appreciate that fact.

Suspended 4 games & tweeted about not seeing the playing field on 1/9. Regardless I think RS has been a blessing and wonderful ambassador to LSU. I hope he can become a coach here one day.

You're right Bro. My bad. I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that article the other morning. I let my anger conveniently override the suspensions.
I still think it was a crummy way to treat someone right before their last home game.
There's been enough talk over the last couple of weeks on local radio about how "big a bust" he was.
Just thought the Advocate was rubbing his face in it.
