His job is to keep the fans entertained. Les needs to understand that victory is no longer the sole measure of success; the team has to have played the game in such a way that keeps the fans interested and entertained. Otherwise, the fans will complain incessantly about the lack of creativity or Les' desire to win over his desire to look good doing so. So c'mon Les, give the fans what the really want.

Obviously, you don't get it. His job is to win games and championships...

To do that he has to develop 18 yr old kids into fighting men.

This seems to be the way the majority on this board feel.

I got it if no one else did

I was not entertained at all by giving an overmatched opponent a >50% chance to win the game with a FG.

Watching very talented players run grade school plays into the teeth of a defense that knows exactly what is coming is not fun for me.

Watching players never get off of the sidelines because a game that should be out of reach in the 2nd half is kept tight by a mind-numbing offensive approach is not fun.

Les Miles has removed the fun of LSU football.

Wow, sarcasm meters are off this morning.

But based on the responses, it is apparent that some people take the game of football a little too seriously.

True dat.

Remember when Les said it would be an "honor" if Bama were given a second chance to beat LSU?

Well, same principle at work last night with regard to the MSU field goal kicker -- Coach Miles gave him a second chance to make the kick.

That builds suspense and heightens the entertainment value of the moment.

If I want to watch that garbage offensive philosophy Miles has, then I can simply youtube Green Bay games from the 1960s. Worked then, but VERY antiquated today.
