He ran a different offense in 2007 and had a different OC..

Could have coached under Miles. Never said these were head coaches.

Last year? So you think Steele would say that? Cuz that's really the only option.

Or he was just throwing out random numbers.

We had a competent quarterback who up until his senior year was groomed by Jimbo. Crowton was able to utilize that talent.

Ok so the Les Miles haters are having orgasms over what an un-named coach is supposed to have said.

Doesn't take much for you snowflakes does it?

Just to try to soften those little woodys of yours, if Les is so bad and next year is going to be so bad, why do other NAMED sources seem to think that LSU is going to have a really good year this season.

Sorry to deflate your little circle jerk with logic.

I don't think that is a solid argument considering how we backed in.

How anyone can disagree with the words in the op is mind numbing.

The "coach" doesn't even know what ceiling means.

2005 11-2
2006 11-2
2007 12-2
2010 11-2
2011 13-1
2012 10-3
2013 10-3
2015 10-3*

10 or more wins in 8 out of 11 seasons.

LSU still won 9 regular season games that year, just saying

It's not good enough anymore when you keep getting owned by the same teams each year.

Sad, but true. If it was 9-3 with 2 or 3 of those losses being hard fought, I dont think people would have called for his head like we did.

Instead, we got laughed off the field by Arkansas 2 years in a row and made pretty much the same exact mistakes to lose to Alabama the last...5 years

The stubborness is Les' undoing and has been for a while. What a lot of people dont understand is how entirely easy it is these days to have a dynamic good offense and Les just refuses to even think about it. It's all about power run run run and hoping that sets up the PA pass. If run run run doesnt work the offense just shits the bed and there's no other option which leads to us consistently having bad QB play until those QBs can be "in the system" for a while and finally step up as a 4th or 5th year player. Meanwhile in good offensive football teams can bring in new QBs each year and have success with them. Bama has replaced a QB each year the last 2 years and despite guys like Blake Sims and Jacob Coker certainly not being the most talented in the world, Kiffin certainly got the most out of them and Saban kept his hands off that offense. How much you want to bet whatever QB they trot out there this year has no issues once again?

Oh hey mr literal

The 07 team actually set offensive records at LSU. Our offense hasn't looked like that in years. There is a ton of proof that says we've been "about a 9 win team" since our 11' run

He finished the regular season with 10 wins (UF, AU, and AU could have easily gone te other way) and was lucky that every other qualified team had two losses as well.

The argument is that the CEILING is 9 wins.

And even over that 4 year period, we averaged over 9 wins.

How anyone can agree that LSU's ceiling is 9 wins, as stated in the OP, is just mind numbing

In my years of watching LSU I have gathered that Coach Miles would rather be stubborn & rite, then do what is best for the team to have the best chance of winning the game. With that said, the "coach" who said all of this is bitter. Under Miles we have always won 10+ except for a couple of seasons. This current offense is the best Les has had since being here. Therefore, that guy & the op can go suck a bag of dicks.

WTF?

they broke INDIVIDUAL records that year as a unit not team offensive records.

we had team offensive records in 2001 (jimbo), 2003 (jimbo), 2007 (crowton)

you are confusing a 3k yard passer, with two 1k yard receivers and a 1k yard rusher as team records. go look where that offense was ranked that year.
