Genuinely happy over this. Wish him the best and honestly LSU fans, it is for the best. Yall should be highly grateful to have this man as your coach. I like Les and he's a very good fit for your college. Glad there are people at your university who are sane and wish to keep a great coach and a great recruiting class yall are looking to have (the later I'm personally not to happy about ).

He's a good man.

He's a good coach for Bama, Ole Miss and Arkansas.

And if Jimbo doesn't come (ie: he won't), then who are yall going to get? Seems that yall haven't thought that through.

And he'd be a hell of a follow-up, replacing a truly good man with a simply horrible and entirely loathe some individutal.

Nick Saban was an unknown before LSU, and he's somewhat loathsome.

True. Maybe CLM should try it.

So yeah, just toss the dice with someone yall have never heard of. Fantastic idea. Worked out once, so it will certainly happen again instead of being the exception.

Les may be a good man, but he's not a good coach, judging by the product on the field these last few years.

this would be a bigger issue if we weren't going to face this same issue in 2-3 years max regardless

les already has 1 foot out of the door

and les lost all of this "good man" and "loyal" status when he leveraged LSU for more years. that was not loyal, was terribly shitty due to timing, and he did it solely to squeeze a few more years out of the boosters. if les really cared that much about LSU, he never pulls that shite.

The rest of the SEC just breathed a sigh of relief the LSU is content with 9-3 seasons.

Yeah I'm sure y'all are happy because even though he'll bring in a better recruiting class he'll be out-coached by the rest of the conference. Leveling the playing field so to speak
