Perrilloux spoke highly of Miles when he was at Jacksonville st. Said he completely understood why he was kicked off the team and was thankful of Miles for giving him multiple opportunities

I really think Miles treats theses guys as if they were his own kids. Releasing Perriloux and Mathieu couldn't have been easy, but they're better off for having gone through it.

I wanted him to be successful for his own good as well as the good of the team. Maybe this was God's plan for him. Hopefully he will be successful in life.

He really seems to have matured. I don't know if he has anything left in him, but I'd love to see him play again- even if it were just the CFL.

Perrilloux acted like a moron when he was on the team. He didn't take it seriously and he paid for it.

He has no one to be mad at other than himself. And I think he understands that. I'm not trying to dump on the kid.

Are you suggesting Miles should've kept him around solely because he was very talented and we could've won a national championship with him?

Don't get me wrong, as tempting as that may be, Perrilloux being kept on the team more than likely would've enabled him to get into more and more trouble.

Miles made the right decision.

ETA: I'm glad he's doing well and has stopped getting into fights and so forth. Sincerely, I mean that.

Sure had high hopes for that kid. What could have been at LSU.

Glad things are well for him.

There should be no bad blood between the two of them. CLM tried to help him as much as he could. Its good to see RP turn his life around and learn from his mistakes. He can be an example to other young guys who get in trouble and need to turn things around. Kudos to him.

You mean do what other big time programs do? I don't know what happens with rp at the helm. But LSU wins the BCS in 2012 with tyrann.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because other big time programs have no morals don't mean we must be the same way. Miles is going to veer to the more ethical road than not. I appreciate that in him. Fans who don't like that can support USC, FSU, Bama, Auburn, THE Ohio State etc. and other programs that have shown less regard for ethics and morals. If there is any solace for you at least you know we support the good guys in the ethical debate. That is how it is.

I'm fine with that.

It just gets glossed over by our fans and the media.

And honestly, both guys are probably better for it.

Miles deserves props for handling the RP and Honeybadger situations with integrity. He did what was best for the kid and the program long term. Would've been easier to lok the other way, possibly win another game or 2, but would have allowed them to disrupt the program and ruin their lives like Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M.
