Forget what game it was, maybe Florida. There was a clear shot of Miles on tv asking/saying "Is it 4th down?" How the hell do you not know what down it is?? Seriously guys, I think this is very telling of Les. Am I making more out of this than what needs to be? Guy just seems lost at times and I think this proves it.

Yes, you're making way more out of it. Go back to sleep.

Ok, but again. And it's a legitimate question...how do you not know what down it is? Not being a smart arse, but damn.

He's freaking lost...always has been. Do u not remember the attempt at calling a TO after an interception against Tennessee in '05 and the infamous "clock it" game on that very same field as last night? He was lost in '05, he was lost in '09, and he's lost now. I really like the guy, but he's a freaking CLOWN.

It's been proven.. Les is a excellent recruiter but he's not a elite game day coach. It is what it is.

An excellent recruiter doesn't give up the top player in the state to the rival every damn year

The program recruits itself

Im with what The Baker says. He may be a nice guy and looks great and all that crap and likeable personality but just like the continuous clock management issues. As Alan Risher said last night on the post game show e.g. on the 4th and 10 where we had to call a time out. Risher stated you need to know on 3rd and 10 whether you are going to go for it on 4th and basically know what play to run but not with ole Les, you guaranteed that you will have to use a TO. Im not saying that makes a difference but its the continuous cropping up of thses types of problems that just makes you scratch your head. And unfortunately has been that way since Les has been there and don't need to point out when it has cost us games and when it almost cost us another game.

What is he watching, if he doesn't know the down?

Les is a likable guy who has y'all winning at least 10 or 11 games per year. But he keeps proving that he is clueless during games.

Can't you give him a fake headset and assign someone to chat with him during the games without him actually having any input? Allow him to think he's calling the plays; he might not notice otherwise.

He's just not a very intelligent coach. Prior to the retarded timeout with 6 seconds left, he started a fire drill when we decided to go for it on 4th down on our last drive and they had to call a timeout because they couldn't get lined up in time. A smart coach would already have it planned that if we don't pick it up on 3rd, we're going for it on 4th and here is the play we will run. It's called planning ahead Les!!!

You kidding?

This isn't a one time thing. He always looks lost and is always asking his assistant coaches things he should know from being an alleged fully functioning human being

with our coach, we really really really really need both the OC and DC on the sidelines coaching their fricking asses off.. jumping in his face screaming TIME OUT TIME OUT TIME OUT TIME OUT!!!!!!!

chavis needs to be there to at least interact with the entire defense after every possession and at least fricking call something different for a change

Because I think on the sideline he is more of a fan than he needs to be. He watches the game as a whole instead of individualized parts. He gets caught up in the emotion of the game too much and loses attention to detail.
