Les as lame duck in 2016 is the worst idea

It will create a leadership vacuum with no real 2nd in command for people comparing with Jimbo/Bowden situation. You then have a bunch of asst coaches looking for jobs vs coaching and juniors and seniors on the team waiting to bolt to the NFL.

LSU should take all of 2016 off, and call it 'The Year of Miles". Have him enter every game on a chariot pulled by donkeys, and flames exhausting betwixt his cheeks.

I can't imagine that happening, to be honest. Miles is a class act.
If LSU fails to attract a 'real' coach to take over, the HCIW is a better option than a straight-up 'lame duck' scenario.
New HC > New OC/HCIW > Nothing, IMO.

I'm not sure there is a great HCIW candidate that will chose to be in that situation. Moreover, I don't think Miles will be able to control the chaos that could ensue.
