Lee needs to fix two things

He has some ability and obviously needs to be our starter. I've been on his bandwagon since 08 but he still hasn't been coached to correct his flaws.
When there is not a WR open, get 3 yards and get down. He cannot throw the ball into the middle of the field to no one.
Step into throws. When he does it, he throws it as well as anyone.
That being said, those flaws can be fixed and honestly even overlooked because of everything else he can do for this team.
Kid showed heart, leadership, determination and class yesterday.
Let's hope #12 wins us some games from here on out.

Yes he does not need to throw the ball off his back foot while falling backwards.
But he is aggressive with the ball. That will help you some and hurt you some. But its better than being passive with the ball.

QB 101: DO NOT throw off your back foot! If he corrects that, 99% of his negatives go away.

dude threw some dangerous passes off his back foot and the throws to shep and ridley in the endzone were terrible and both should have been intercepted. overall, i agree he did what we needed him to do and we clearly moved the ball better, but we scored our first 10 points on drives that jj lead. obviously the run, but the field goal drive was setup on a drive with jj, which means lee needs to finish his drives out. certainly we look like a better offense with lee, but he has to do a better job near the endzone.

Lee's weaknesses are with his nerves and confidence and that can't be coached. He throws off his back foot because of nerves not because he hasn't been told not to do it.

Throwing off the back foot is better than a sack.

Not when it leads to an interception. Throw the ball away when you have to, absolutely. Just don't do it carelessly.

This is asking for a miracle but Crowton/Miles need to plan better for what throws Lee makes well and those he doesn't. Don't ask him to make the throws he's not good at, especially in the red zone. I know that sounds incredibly simplistic but given what most of us think about Crowton these days, it's not out of the realm of reality that he doesn't know that!
