LB commit who jumped to Texas on Signing Day

What was his name? Did he make it to UT? If so, did he contribute in any way?

I believe it was Erick Fowler. Had some issues qualifying but looks like he'll play this year.

Toshiro didnt do much there, Fowler is still waiting on the clearinghouse i believe. 247 doesnt have him enrolled yet, only signee they have that isnt enrolled yet
Reading on 247 their mod is saying he is still trying to pass a summer class or something and could report next week but the staff isn't expecting him that soon. Said they expect him in right before school starts if at all, so they dont sound very confident. He still has to pass the class then send his coursework off to the clearinghouse...good luck with them getting to approve something this late you're still not done with.

Isn't this the kid who's dad moved into the dorm with him ? I think he lasted about a week here, transferred to Texas and ended up at Tech as a back up. That was was funny story at the time.

I remember reading that McConathy "would play on Sunday's" when he was being recruited. He seemed to have all the physical attributes you could want in a LB. Tepper didn't do him any favors for sure, but I didn't expect that kid to fall off the face of the earth like he did.
