Does anyone else think that the last play was designed for Patterson? I think they were trying to get his man to come up and guard Jarell and give Patterson a 3 point shot that's why he was disappointed after the game. but still we won

the 2 shooters were in the corners...I'm pretty sure it was designed to go to whichever one they could get the ball to

Patterson's reaction following the win was perplexing. He seemed almost distraught that the ball didn't come to him. Shades of Kobe. Hope it was nothing more than a brief moment that he's dealt with and forgotten.

One person says something and the lemmings follow. Doesn't matter if it's true or not.

Honestly think coach expected Gray to get more penetration and thus have an opportunity to pass to either Patterson or Hornsby depending on where the help came from.

We didn't need a three pointer so if Gray could get into the paint and make a shot I think coach would have been more than happy for him to take it as well...

It was very apparent to anyone who was watching that Patterson was let down... kind of looked like a bitch.

I wondered about Patterson's state of mind immediately after the camera went to his face saturday afternoon. Now go sniff your own farts

It was apparent that patterson's reaction was different from the rest of the team. What caused that is an unknown. He may have been so keyed up to take the last shot that it required a moment or two for him to decompress.

It is an obsevation worth noting.

Have you watched the kid all year? Rarely shows any emotion at all.

I don't think he looked upset at all. I think he was just watching the ball and when it went in he was in shock for a second. It took 2 seconds before the coach had his arm around pattersons neck. Everyone is thinking way too much about his reaction

The plays first option most def wasn't for a 3. It was a high ball screen hoping Gray could penetrate hit Martin on the roll or pop and attack. Gray just waited too long to start the offense and Arky played the ball screen really well so he went to the backup option which was to kick to the corner for the 3. Why Horsbys man helped from 1 pass away is beyond me.

I don't think our "plan" was ever to take a 3 point shot to win a tied game. We took what Arky gave us and Hornsby buried it

All of this, plus what High Life stated. It was as if they really were trying to run an iso with Gray, which wasn't there after a failed pick. Then he held it too long after. But it all worked out in the end. And tigers rejoiced

I thought he looked like a boss. He wanted (and deserved) to be the one to take that shot. He knew he was going to make it. Why do people so easily forget that he went over to Hornsby right after and said "alright Keith" congratulating him. He seems like a competitor and what competitor wouldn't want that shot?
