I'm not sure there are too many coaches out there who could motivate this team to play so well given where we were placed. Well done, sir!

But he can't get the students to keep it clean.

This team isn't that much better than A&M. Just coached better.

It's a good thing he finally turned the defense back over to Chavis. Amirite?

I was surprised how much passion the team showed after a huge letdown at Bama.

Oregon can't even get their team motivated to play in a BCS bowl.

After a few lackluster games, this team really surprised me. Maybe the best effort from an LSU team in recent memory. The difference in defensive production was night and day.

Definitely. The team came out and played hard with no obvious hangover from Bama. I'd be thrilled to finish 10-3.

Great defensive game plan by chavis too. Executed to damn near perfection. Great game all around.

I somewhat agree.. (and I'm not being anti-Miles).. but where was the motivation against Ole Miss when the SEC (and national) championship(s) were on the line?

Where was the motivation after the bama loss last year?

We put too much emphasis on coaching I think. There aren't any "amazing recruiters" or "amazing x's and o's guys" out there.. There are guys who get lucky, guys who do what they can with what they have, and guys that are both once in awhile.
Luckily LES is both (most of the time) and the players and fans usually combine to produce wins.

It was a HUGE game (mainly for the future of the program) and I'm super friggin excited because of the way EVERYTHING turned out. I'm just playing the devil's advocate and saying that I don't think that Miles had that much to do with it.

Yes, it told me that he delegated duties to our dual-threat coaches.

So then I guess he did not have much to do with the Ole Miss loss?

Read my post.. I'm saying I credit him for the Ole Miss loss as much as I credit him for the A&M win. The team came out and played great. I give the team (and the fans) a combined 90 percent credit as compared to the amazing motivational speach that Miles hypothetically gave before this game and forgot before the Ole Miss game..

I was really proud of the way the guys played. The OL going downfield to find someone to hit (this used to be the norm a while back...c'mon Stud!). The D played faster than I've seen them all year. A great showing.
