The formations we lined up in were the main reason we didn't score---We were trying to run against an eleven man line

The worst offensive plans of CLM return to the Florida game. Might have just had Miles on the sideline for this game. Couldn't have been much worse!

Without rewatching, I think there were 13 plays ran in 4 drives from inside the 8 yard line, with several of them from 2 pt conversion distance, and we scored 3 pts.

Can anyone refresh my memory on whether we called a play outside the tackle box in any of those instances? And how many times was a FL defender making contact w our backs in the backfield?

And why, do you ask? Because we don't trust our QB to make decisions and the defense does not have to respect him as a runner. We are always one man down.

You mean all season. They did this because they don't trust Etling in the redzone. Every single time we are near the endzone, we always run it. Coach O and Esminger were scared like Les Miles.

Which is borderline retarded as he has been making good decisions all year and was playing a pretty damn good game between the twenties. Why in the hell do you go away from what got you in scoring position because the endzone is so close you can reach out and touch it?

Don't remember where the play started but I do remember Etling getting absolutely brutalized at the pylon by a DB.

I mean, I like Working but holy shite that dude needs to seriously reevaluate his thinking when he takes off running.

My goodness that was a facial.

That will be a classic fail gif going forward

And our backs don't run like that in the redzone. Take it outside.

Well, your passing lanes are definitely limited the closer you get to the goal line, but we stack everyone, making it even worse.

Just think about the last time LSU had a QB they trusted to make good decisions and use his feet when receivers were covered. It was from TN game on in '06 and the entire '07 seasons. Look up rushing yards and critical third down runs of 10 or more yards to keep drives alive by JR and Flynn.

Then ask yourself who developed those guys. And don't come w JJ or Jennings rushing yards as an example. We NEVER gave those guys a read, the ball carrier was pre-determined. And they were so unworthy and poorly developed that I don't blame the staff.

But knowing all this, people that have witnessed scores of games and seasons of record w the most NFL talent in the nation would take the risk of not hiring a person for head coach that could attract and develop the most important position on the field.

Our fanbase, administration, and boosters deserve what they have gotten. Personally, this hire is their last chance to keep me as a financial supporter. I always watch and follow, but I'm not going to invest the kind of time and money I do when we are obviously more concerned about public relations than winning football games.

I remember it, and as said Teuhema failed miserably. But IIRC, it was a straight drop back and Etling was staring toward the goalpost, so still b/w the tackles.

You would think a Power 5 conference team would have a set of 2 pt conversion type plays with creativity and/or misdirection, and that you would use them at some point when you have failed on more than multiple occasions.
