Big surprise there.

I think they may have their eye on Nutt.

Move Ensminger to an administrative role, make Larry TEs coach. Recruit like hell.

For recruiting purposes. Adding another guy like Porter will only help evaluate high school talent more...and help LSU!

Wow. That's a BIG surprise. The athletic director at UM, who is an absolute moron, is retiring next year. He should have been fired years ago, but the school doesn't want to buy him out. The majority opinion in the Memphis area has been that UM would wait until next year, and let the new AD decide on the new football coach.

Porter was a complete disaster, though. Awlful.

It would be great to have another ace recruiter on the staff but he sucked as a RB coach.

You should be banned for even suggesting that POS come back here.

Porter is a joke. Keiland Williams did not speak to him-SPEAK TO HIM-his last year here. Ridley got into a verbal altercation with him-in front of the team-during his last season.

He's an absolute cancer, & was a shiteous coach of the position. We had great talent that he had absolutely ZERO idea how to utilize properly.

He belongs NOWHERE near LSU.

Having said that, look for him to pop up on Tulane's staff whenever they hire a coach.

Do we give off the impression as a staff that we're having issues recruiting right now?

Keep him far away from LSU. He was a huge flaw in this program. Created several morale issues. There is no need to mess with a system that's yielded an undefeated, SEC Western Division Champion that's in position to contend for a conference & National Championship.

Get a grip.

Our RB production hasn't really differed since he left. Last year we rolled heavy with one guy, but this year we're back to rotating multiple backs. No real difference in YPC, etc.

Besides, if we put him at TE coach, as I suggested it's not as if we're getting tremendous production out of the position anyhow.. and it's a position most teams stick ace recruiters who lack coaching prowess anyhow.

Adding him back is about adding another stud recruiter to the mix.

There's more to being a coach than just recruiting. Unless you're Trooper Taylor, Lance Thompson, or Bobby Williams.

Would you care to put a few Abita's worth of a wager on whether or not he'll be added back to this staff?

Chemistry counts for more than just how this team operates. Staff chemistry counts as well. He misses on BOTH counts.

Again, wanna put a few Louisiana-brewed Abita beers on this discussion?

I'm pretty sure of myself regarding the matter. But, feel free to disagree.

No, because I don't believe he will.

Well, if there are issues with him getting along with folks, then it wasn't documented, and Miles put up with it for almost a decade... at 2 different schools.
