That's a good location. There's a similar deal that they do for Packer games at the Resch Center on the plaza by Armed Forces Drive, which I think they're doing for this game as well.

Beers at the bars will go for five or six dollars and brats and burgers probably the same, mixed drinks more of course.

You don't think you could hammer down six beers, a burger, and a brat in 3 hours?

Though, our group will likely do what we do for packer games...the Mobile Tailgate(TM), where we pack disposable coolers and just walk around and check things out, meet people, find the most fun area, and hang out there.

Sounds like our plan as well. I wanted to find a spot to get out there early to do it the right way. But four hours before kick in the lots isn't enough time.

I'm lucky enough that I can walk up from my childhood home, so it'll be a relatively leisurely morning for our group. And we don't have to pay for parking

I have my ticket for the tailgate and also a parking pass. Probably will park at the stadium early and walk to Farves and back. Going to do the stadium tour on Friday. Staying in Appleton on Fri/Sat... at Brewhouse Inn in Milwaukee on Thurs

I'm with you...we rented house on Langlade Ave. We will like plan a morning stroll around the stadium then back to the house till about noon or so before loading up some disposable soft coolers and heading back.

I don't know what Lambeau is planning but Miller Lite sponsored a big concert party on the Astodome side of the Reliant Stadium two seasons ago. They had two bands and bars available. You had to pay for the beer but there was no admission.

For those of you who think you can outdrink some Badgers I watched five of em consume a half gallon of Capt Morgan in about an hour and walk away into the game...

Where will the LSU RV's be parked at Lambeau? We were at the RV lot party across from Reliant for the LSU/Wisconsin game (we were the four 50 year old guys wearing Badger red for any of you who were there - the only Badgers to dare enter the Tiger den). The food and drink was amazing - more importantly, the hospitality you showed to us Badger fans was class. The only souvenir I have of the event is a beer can wrap that says "I partied at LeMaire Tailgate". We same four guys are heading to game at Lambeau - would love to reconnect with the RV folks again.

I think I read somewhere that it will be...

ETA: Lambeau Field website says specifically that alcohol will be served

Yeah, but I was there too, what was more impressive than consuming all the Captain Morgan, was one of them puked and they continued partying and dancing in the puke. This is one fanbase that can definitely hang with LSU in terms of partying.

Well, yeah.

ETA: not totally sure how you objectively debate something like this, but both fan bases are lauded for their pregame atmosphere.
