Lambeau 2016 House Rental

Anyone else get the email from the lady from VRBO about her house for rent for the weekend? There was a dozen or so email addresses she sent out a blast to this morning. Basically auctionion off her house and starting her bid at $3600 for 3 nights. She says to respond with reasons why your party should get the house. Read between the lines- she's asking people to bid higher and they will get it for the weekend.
Just curious if any other Ranters were looking at the property.

Im sure AirBnB will have more reasonably piced places to stay than that if you needed a house option.

That really isn't that much out of line. As you all know, hotels and other options in Green Bay are limited. The cool thing is is that Lambeau butts right up next to a neighborhood. So, if the woman's backyard view is Lambeau Field...it could be worth it.
My advice is to look for spots up Nicolet Drive/past UW-GB campus area. We've always found airbnb/vrbo for Lions-Pack games.

That's basically what the 4br houses directly across the street were going for. They advertise how they have an awesome back yard for tailgating then say they let people park in the yard for games to make extra money.

I've already made my own plans, I sent out several emails to people on VRBO. I just thought it was interesting that this lady was sending out a mass email advertising for highest bidder.
The price is a little high, but she said it will sleep 14 people. If you aren't familiar with Green Bay, it is a tiny town with few hotels. Most people with houses within a mile from the stadium rent their properties out on Game Day for mega bucks. My brother and I went up there a few years ago and parking is a premium. You park in yards, gas stations, etc. Very different from college campus parking or even Saints parking.

people on St Charles did not charge that much for a week during the SB/Mardi Gras...Lady is mad but luckily for her some Tiger Fan will pay the asking price.

For 3 nights, I believe we payed around $2,900. Of course, the house was as close to Lambeau as you can get. It really was awesome staring at one of football's greatest cathedrals while grilling and hanging out in the backyard all weekend.

After doing a little research, there are dozens of properties around the stadium asking similar rates. They have been doing this a long time and I'm sure they have a better idea of the market than you or me.

Is something funny about that price? If the house sleeps 8 that seems about right. That is the going rate.

Just did a quick search on Airbnb and you can get houses in Greenbay for $300-$600 a night pretty easily for Sept 3rd 2016 weekend.
