Shaq said he considers Los Angeles his "nba home".

Not that it matters a whole lot but I noticed he didn't acknowledge Dale Brown or LSU in his acceptance speech. Still Love the Shaq Daddy though. Just thought old Dale deserved a mention.

For those interested who didn't see it, here is the link from the NBA site;

He mentioned Dale quite a bit when LSU retired his number in 2000. Time, place and circumstances probably dictated a different approach this time around.

Shaq loves Dale Brown.

He also mentioned LSU and Dale Brown during his retirement speech.

It doesn't matter because it was a Lakers ceremony.

I agree it was a lakers ceremony and that was the focus, his time spent with the lakers and not anything else.

What he COULD have done, if he really wanted, was say something like "I've bled purple and gold since my time at lsu under coach dale" or something along those lines.

It's really nothing though

He sure as hell burned the bridge to his home in Miami. He won't get his number retired here any time soon.
