La'el Collins press conference

Great press conference and overall i thought La'el was awesome. The one kind of questionable thing he did was quote Ray Lewis.....i thought that was a bit questionable. He also called Tyron Smith, Tyrone.
But other than that it was great, he's a great young guy and I'm happy to have him in Dallas. He said he's ready to be a part of something special and this o-line is going to be something fans remember for a lifetime. Love it.

I can remember watching Les in 2011 pregame before the LSU/UO game. If anyone remembers, Jerruh came down from his booth specifically to speak with Les. They had a long chat. Miles and the Jones family have a very warm, friendly relationship.

A reporter just asked how he felt about losing millions and La'el responded with, "Just to be here im still getting paid, heck it was way more than i was getting in college!" Hahahahaha

So much stupid associated with the whole La'el did he or didn't he situation. Sooooo much stupid from so many. Hope he becomes the highest paid LT in the NFL(or G if that's where he ends up).

As long as Tyron Smith is healthy he won't be a LT in Dallas.

Smith is probably one of the top Tackles in the game. Their weakest player is Doug Free on the opposite side at RT but they just inked him to a 3 year Extension. I'm not sure how they handle that or how they work Collins in because their interior guards are better than their tackle combo.

They should just not start collins at let him develop as a RT behind Free this year/ backup G for a year. Cutting free after seasons saves 2.5 cap space next yr. Leary is probably Collins' equal this year and is in a contract 585k year. Unless you trade Leary, just keep collins at T. my 2 cents.

Depending on free and Collins' performance i think they eventually do June 1 cut so they don't get a big cap hit either this year or next. It will all depend on how the two perform IMO

Leary is the second best run blocker Dallas has behind Martin so we'll see. I think this obviously gets rid of having to use Escobar in six man run lines. I think no matter what Collins will see a good bit of time this year.
Dallas also fixed an issue in case someone gets hurt. They now have backups galore.

Watched it streamed on Cowboys' site. Collins handled himself very well. At one point, I thought Jerry was wiping tears from his eyes, while Garrett couldn't wipe the smile off his face. 
And he cracked up the room with his comment about making more money than he made in college.
