Its not being a sunshine pumper by saying someone is innocent until proven guilty. Not to mention everything we know about Lael as fans points to him being a good guy. Its called giving him the benefit of the doubt with the information we have available to us. If you know him more closely aside from being a fan the last four years and can contradict what we know of him then speak up.

I swear we have the worst fans of any sports team.

Lol, worth every cent.

To others. I haven't smear LC at all. I hope he's cleared, but anyone saying he wasn't a suspect in some way is a fool.

I can see it now...

Police: Mr Collins, sorry about the whole NFL thing...it wasn't our intention.

LC: Well what do you need?

Police: when's the last time you've had contact with X?

LC: about a year ago

Police: well then, that settles that. Again, sorry about the whole NFL and ruining your career thing.

LC: ok

And yes, if their interview gained them no new knowledge, of course they will come out and say he was never a suspect.

there's a core group that relishes any hint of bad news for LSU as it would somehow validate their years of bitching about most anything to do with the school.

Wrong, if he had flown back last Saturday or Sunday before the draft then that information would have gotten out and linked him to the murder just the same. His stock would have plummeted just the same.

I disagree. BRPD began trying to contact on him on Saturday 4/25. He didn't go to Chicago until Tuesday and didn't agree to meet with BRPD until Thursday. If he had sat down with them then instead of trying to avoid it, his people could have spun this to show that he was assisting the BRPD in an investigation. Instead the headline, was "Collins still ignoring the BRPD's request for an interview after 4 days." I don't blame him for lawyering up, but that is what threw up the red flag.

Is that guy even an LSU fan though?

but yes LSU does have the biggest fan base to trash their own with ease.

You think a team would spend a 1st round pick on a guy who hasn't played football in a year?

What about La'el and his attorney attempting to meet with the police and being turned away by the police? I don't think La'el was ever trying to avoid the cops.

I love when people make this statement as if its fact. Go visit any team's forum and you'll see plenty of it, its not unique to LSU fans.

Not bashing LC just who will sign him to a NFL contract now is what I'm wondering. I would sign him now if I was a owner. All I'm saying is if he wasn't a suspect this would of never gone this far

When?

from LINK
quote:

Cpl. Don Coppola Jr., a police spokesman, said Thursday that detectives originally reached out to Collins’ family and his agent on Saturday in an effort to speak with him. It wasn’t until Thursday that Collins through a representative agreed to speak with them after the draft, police said, and detectives have yet to hear from Collins himself.
