Brandon Harris KTBS video

My boys are the ones standing beside him in the video. This was during his Junior year. The one with the football is not the one the offensive coordinator is talking about. My 2 nephews graduated from Parkway with Brandon and were on the football team. We got to know him over the last few years and he always took time to talk to my boys after the games. He is as good as they get and is a good representative for Parkway and LSU.

Awesome message. He just grows on you. I used to follow his twitter and I would always see the huge positive attitude in what he posted but I did not believe it at the time.

Auburn actually thought that Miles was going to unleash the dual threat Read Option QB they tried so hard to recruit who had a 14-1 record last yr at Parkway with 3,172 yards passing with 34 touchdowns and Rushed for 1,048 yards and 15 touchdowns. Harris probably would have been better off going there.

Brandon Harris' Parkway HS Head Coach David Feaster and Offensive Coordinator Justin Scogin were not surprised when they saw his near perfect performances vs MSST and NMS and Coach Feaster has a Message for Auburn:

If you Auburn right now you are going to be A) trying to defend the zone read, B) practicing against the option, C) practicing against the vertical threat receivers deep down the field, D) as well as a very powerful run game, E) if you are Auburn right now on defense you have got a lot of work to do. So it is going to be a tough chore for Auburn. I am predicting LSU by 30! Yeah. Yeah, Absolutely.

Malzahn knows plenty about the Bayou Bengals' newly named starting quarterback Brandon Harris. He was close to signing the true freshman before he chose instead to go to Baton Rouge.

Coach Malzahn knows what kind of player Harris can be and knows his defense will have to be at its very best to win.

Gus Malzahn on Facing Brandon Harris…"First of all, he is a classy young man. He is extremely talented. He has an NFL arm. He can throw the football from one hash to the sidelines. He can run. He is a threat."

David Feaster was always an optimist when we played high school ball over 35 years ago.

I like this Harris kid, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. I just hope he doesn't get ruined and/or frustrated.
